MEDICAL INCIDENT

Under the leadership of FCINSP ATTY OMAR NASSEEF D BAKONG, CPA, City Fire Marshal, the Cotabato City Fire Station - Emergency Medical Services While on standby duty at the PBB Mall Tour held at the KCC Mall Convention Center, a 22-year-old male was carried by AFP personnel to the EMS table after experiencing a fainting episode. EMS personnel immediately conducted primary assessment and loosen tight clothing, removed shoes and elevated lower extremities.

Initial vital sign was take and recorded then the patient was then transferred inside the ambulance and placed in a moderate high back rest position for closer monitoring and comfort. supplementation was administered via face mask to support respiration and improve oxygenation.

Continuous monitoring of vital signs was performed throughout the management. After several minutes, the patient regained consciousness and showed gradual improvement in condition. He was advised to drink a high-calorie beverage as tolerated to help restore energy and prevent recurrence of weakness until the patient verbalized relief and expressed his desire to return home.

EMS personnel ensured that the patient was stable prior to discharge. After completion of the medical intervention, the team resumed standby operations for the remaining duration of the program, maintaining readiness for any untoward incident.

Under the leadership of FCINSP ATTY OMAR NASSEEF D BAKONG, CPA, City Fire Marshal, the Cotabato City Fire Station - Emergency Medical Services received a call on or about 2018H regarding a female patient with chief complaint of body malaise, headache, epigastric pain and difficulty of breathing.

Upon arrival at the scene, the team found the female patient lying on the bed, accompanied by her friends. The team immediately conducted an assessment, provided appropriate management, and administered oxygen inhalation via facemask. The patient transported to the health care facility for further evaluation and management.

BLOODLETTING ACTIVITY

31 March 2026

Under the leadership of FCINSP ATTY. OMAR NASSEEF D BAKONG, CPA, City Fire Marshal, a total of thirteen (13) personnel from the Cotabato City Fire Station voluntarily participated in the BFP BARMM Year-Round Bloodletting activity conducted at the Bureau of Fire Protection BARMM – Regional Headquarters (Multipurpose Hall), Poblacion 1, Rambutan Street, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.

This activity forms part of the Bureau of Fire Protection’s continuous commitment to support humanitarian initiatives, promote voluntary blood donation, and help save lives through community service and public cooperation.
