The Internal Audit Office (IAO) successfully conducted its Gender and Development (GAD) Sensitivity Training cm Midyear Performance Review and Assessment held from June 1โ5, 2026, at Davao del Norte.
The five-day activity gathered IAO personnel in a shared space of learning, reflection, and collaboration aimed at strengthening gender responsiveness in the workplace and reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement in public service. Throughout the sessions, participants were able to revisit key GAD concepts and relate these to their roles and everyday work practices.
The GAD sessions were enriched through the expertise of Ms. Aisah A. Kali of the Bangsamoro Women Commission - BARMM (BWC), who served as Resource Person and delivered insightful and engaging discussions that encouraged active participation and deeper understanding among attendees. Supporting the smooth conduct of the sessions was Ms. Mayada Salendab, also from BWC, who served as facilitator and ensured the organized flow of activities throughout the program.
As part of the Midyear Performance Review and Assessment, Mr. Monso Bdo of the IAO facilitated a discussion on the Praxis of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), providing participants with a valuable opportunity to reflect on accomplishments, assess ongoing initiatives, and identify areas for further improvement in performance and service delivery. More so, Ms. Radzmia Mamalangkas, section head of Support to Operations, assisted in the review of targets and commitments for the 1st semester of 2026.
The activity was further highlighted by the IAO Personnel Service Recognition, which honored the dedication, commitment, and valuable contributions of each personnel in the successful delivery of their respective duties and responsibilities. This recognition served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of teamwork, accountability, and excellence in public service.
Overall, the activity became a meaningful and enriching experience for all participantsโstrengthening both individual learning and the collective commitment of the IAO to gender-responsive governance, organizational development, and continuous improvement in serving the Bangsamoro community.
