The Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal – Maguindanao del Norte, under the leadership of FSUPT ROSEMARIE Q JUMALON, DSC, attended the Bangsamoro Peace Forum 2026 held at the Sultan Kudarat Cultural Complex.

With the theme, “Reimagining Inclusive Participation and Responsible Social Media Engagement for Enduring Peace in the Bangsamoro,” the activity aimed to promote peacebuilding, strengthen community collaboration, and encourage responsible use of social media as a tool in fostering unity, understanding, and lasting peace within the Bangsamoro region.

HOW TO CREATE A FIRE ESCAPE PLAN

Having a Fire Escape Plan is important to keep every family prepared during a fire or any emergency situation. Here are some simple steps to create a safe and effective escape plan:

✅ 1. Draw a map of your home
Include all rooms, doors, windows, stairs, and possible exit routes.

✅ 2. Find two ways out of each room
Always prepare an alternative exit in case the main route is blocked by fire or smoke.

✅ 3. Designate a safe meeting place outside your home
Choose a location where all family members can gather after evacuating.

✅ 4. Make sure every family member knows the plan
Teach children what to do during emergencies and conduct regular fire drills at home.

"FIRE SAFETY TIPS OF THE DAY"
🔥𝐂𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐈𝐋 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐄 🔥

✅NEVER USE WATER on a grease or cooking oil fire. Water can cause the flames to spread rapidly and explode outward.
✅TURN OFF THE STOVE immediately if it is safe to do so.
✅COVER THE PAN with a metal lid or baking sheet to cut off oxygen from the fire.
✅USE BAKING SODA OR SALT to help smother small grease fires. Never use flour or sugar.
✅KEEP A CLASS K OR ABC FIRE EXTINGUISHER NEARBY and know how to use it properly.
✅NEVER LEAVE COOKING UNATTENDED Stay alert while frying or cooking with oil.
✅If the fire becomes uncontrollable, evacuate immediately and call to the nearest fire station.
