The Office of MP Tawakal B. Midtimbang, through the Access to Higher and Modern Education – College Assistance Program (AHME-CAP), is now accepting applications for incoming first year college for the Academic Year 2026–2027.

The Office of MP Tawakal B. Midtimbang successfully conducted a Zakatul Fit’r Assistance Program for the residents of the Municipalities of Talayan, Datu Anggal Midtimbang, and Guindulungan. The assistance was particularly extended to vulnerable members of the community who belong to the following sectors: Senior Citizens, Widows, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and Indigent families.

This initiative was carried out as part of the office’s continuing commitment to uphold the spirit of compassion, solidarity, and social responsibility, especially during the blessed month of Ramadhan. Recognizing that some members of the community may face financial challenges in fulfilling their religious obligations, the program aims to support individuals who are unable to provide their Zakatul Fit’r, ensuring that they are still able to participate in this important pillar of Islamic charity.

Through this initiative, the Office of MP Tawakal B. Midtimbang reaffirms its dedication to serving the Bangsamoro people by promoting inclusivity, strengthening community support, and ensuring that no one is left behind in fulfilling their religious duties and experiencing the blessings of Ramadhan.

This initiative aims to extend support and relief to communities by providing essential food assistance to families, especially during the holy month when compassion, generosity, and solidarity are strongly emphasized. Through this collaborative effort, the program seeks to ease the daily burden of constituents and ensure that more families have sufficient food on their tables as they observe fasting and spiritual reflection.

This initiative reflects the office’s continued commitment to support Bangsamoro constituents wherever they may be located, recognizing the needs of families who are living beyond the territorial jurisdiction of the region but remain part of the Bangsamoro community.

The activity aimed to provide immediate relief and assistance to Bangsamoro families while strengthening solidarity and connection among community members in urban areas. Through this outreach effort, the Office of MP Tawakal B. Midtimbang reaffirmed its dedication to inclusive public service by ensuring that programs and assistance reach not only communities within BARMM but also Bangsamoro individuals and families living in other parts of the country.

The Office of MP Tawakal B. Midtimbang successfully conducted a Camp and Community Visitation Program, which included the distribution of rice, groceries, medicines, Iftar pack lunch, and vegetable seeds, at Camp Bad’r located in Barangay Datalpandan, Guindulungan, Maguindanao del Sur. The activity aimed to strengthen community engagement, foster unity, and bring the services of the Bangsamoro Government closer to the people, particularly to grassroots communities.

The program was conducted in partnership with the Office of the Parliament Speaker, Hon. Dr. Mohammad S. Yacob, together with the BTA Parliament Secretary General, Prof. Raby Angkal. This collaborative effort of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority highlights the continued commitment of the Bangsamoro leadership to actively engage with communities and ensure that the programs and initiatives of the Bangsamoro Government reach even the grassroots level.

The activity gathered various leaders and representatives from different sectors, including the Chiefs of Divisions and Units of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority, officials from the Local Government Unit of the Municipality of Guindulungan, and the Barangay Local Government Unit of Datalpandan led by Hon. Barangay Chairman Kaharudin B. Midtimbang. Also present were commanders of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (M**F), along with the Mujahidin and Mujahidath, stakeholders, and members of the local community.

The Hon. MP Tawakal B. Midtimbang joined the Grand Iftar held at Malacañang Palace on March 12, 2026, together with Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., President of the Philippines, and Hon. Abdulraof A. Macacua, Chief Minister of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The gathering brought together members of the diplomatic corps, officials of BARMM, Members of Parliament, provincial governors, and municipal mayors across the Bangsamoro Region. The Grand Iftar served as a meaningful occasion of unity and reflection during the blessed month of Ramadhan, strengthening the bonds of cooperation and mutual respect among national and regional leaders.
