The Office of the City Treasurer successfully conducted its 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 on April 16, 2026, bringing together all in-charge of divisions led by the City Treasurer, Mr. Teddy U. Inta, MPA and Asst. City Treasurer Ms. Leah E. Villajuan, MPA

Key discussions focused on 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 encountered in daily operations affecting workflow efficiency.

In line with continuous improvement, 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 were presented to resolve identified issues. Clear directives were given to ensure effective implementation.

Mr. Inta and Ms. Villajuan expressed their appreciation for well-prepared and insightful presentations delivered by each unit. In recognition of the efforts, 𝐭𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 were given to all in-charge of divisions. This gesture aimed to motivate employees, acknowledge their contributions and to encourage continued excellence in the delivery of public service.

The Office of the City Treasurer proudly congratulates Mr. Saidin K. Tomas for winning Ist Runner Up in the Inter-Office Poster Making Contest conducted by the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Officer in Celebration of the 2026 National Women’s Month, held at the Cotabato City People’s Palace on March 30, 2026.

This year’s celebration, with the theme “Mukha ng Karahasan, Wakasan”, a call to recognize, speak out against, and put an end to all forms of violence against women and girls using virtual artistic messages.

Mr. Tomas’s winning poster creatively reflected the essence of promoting women’s empowerment by demostrating how art can inspire awareness and protection for women against all forms of violence.

The Office of the City Treasurer actively participated in the 2026 PACTAP National Convention and Seminar-Workshop held from March 24-27, 2026 at Princesa Garden Island Resort & Spa, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

With the theme "Maximizing Fiscal Capacity: Strengthening Revenue Generation through Efficient and Equitable Real Property Taxation and Mobilization of other Resources", the convention gathered all PACTAP officers, BLGF key personnel, Provincial and City Treasurers and local government representatives from across the country.

In her keynote speech, Ms. Consolacion Q. Agcaoili, Executive Director of BLGF Central Office, encouraged Local Government Units (LGUs) to adopt proactive and innovative approaches in maximizing their fiscal capacity, especially in the face of economic challenges. She emphasized the need to strengthen local autonomy and enhance revenue generation through improved local taxation.

Highlights of the convention were key discussions on BLGF Digitalization Program - Innovations and Updates, Treasury Services Updates: Fidelity Bonding and National Collections and Deposits, and RPVARA Towards LGU Self Sufficiency. The sessions emphasized the importance of efficiency, transparency and equity in local taxation to ensure sustainable development.

The participation of the Office of the City Treasurer underscores its commitment to continuous learning and institutional development. Insights gained from this convention are expected to contribute to improved revenue administration and more effective delivery of public services in the City.
