By the Community, For the Community: Peer-Led Harm Reduction is Saving Lives.
People who use cannabis and psychedelics remain among the most vulnerable groups in the Philippines, routinely facing criminalization, stigma, and systemic barriers to healthcare and justice. Despite these challenging realities, our communities have always developed reliable, informal systems of care.
To turn these informal efforts into structured, life-saving capacity, MedCann Philippines partnered with ACCEPT Network for Drug Education in holding RADICAL CARE - a two-day training empowering 30 peer leaders from across Luzon with knowledge and practical skills in harm reduction, mental health support, SOGIESC and rights awareness.
We champion a "for and by" approach, ensuring that our community members arenโt just participants, but the actual leaders, trainers, and decision-makers in the interventions that affect their lives. By seeding this network of trained peer educators, we are multiplying the impact and bringing vital education directly back to grassroots communities.
A huge thank you to everyone supporting our mission to prevent harm, save lives, and strengthen community resilience. Special shout-out to Accept for Sensible Drug Conversations The Turf PH ๐๐๐๐๐๐ MonsterBud Philippines Rizla MAMA DUBS PH Help Educate Misinformed People
