The 3rd BIDA Film Festival is back, providing a platform for the youth of Barangay Ibabao to showcase their creativity, storytelling, and video editing skills. This year, youth organizations will compete by producing compelling short films that highlight relevant community issues related to drug use and abuse, promoting awareness, prevention, and positive change.

This activity is held in celebration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, encouraging young people to use the power of film to educate, inspire, and advocate for a drug-free community.

𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗨𝗡𝗔𝗡 𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗟𝗬

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Ibabao, Cordova successfully conducted its 1st Semester Katipunan ng Kabataan Assembly for CY 2026 on March 27, 2026.

The program commenced with the accomplishment reports of the Sangguniang Kabataan members, presented by their respective committee chairpersons. This was followed by the financial report delivered by SK Treasurer Ramchel S. Ando, which covered both the inflow and outflow of SK funds.

Subsequently, SK Chairperson Usley Kent S. Reyes delivered the State of the Youth Address, emphasizing that while education remains the top priority, the SK Learning Hub has officially been opened to all students of Ibabao, Cordova, Cebu. He highlighted this as a long-awaited initiative aimed at providing students with a conducive space for learning. He also expressed the council’s continued focus on assessing and addressing the evolving needs of the youth.

After the presentations of the council, Mr. Guian Paolo Godofredo served as the resource speaker, discussing the fundamentals of the Sangguniang Kabataan, with emphasis on the proper guidelines in the disbursement of SK funds and the programs that should be implemented in compliance with the SK Reform Law.

Also present during the event was Punong Barangay Atty. Arthur L. Degamo, who delivered a message of support to the youth and pledged continued backing for youth development programs. Barangay Councilor Janice A. Ochea also expressed her message of support during the assembly.
