Cordon, Isabela โ The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Isabela Provincial Office, through Negosyo Center Cordon, successfully conducted a Seminar on Product Development in Packaging and Labelling on 08 May 2026, at the Amphitheater of Barangay Quirino, Cordon, for the members of the Pag-asa Sitio Bimmangon Association. The activity was attended by thirty-five (35) participants. Municipal Mayor Hon. Florenz M. Zuniega expressed his support for the activity and delivered inspiring words to encourage the participants in improving and promoting their local products. Engr. Heather Lagat from the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), representing Municipal Agriculturist Dr. Archival B. Sabado, also conveyed a message of support for the initiative.
Mr. Jezreel M. Ramos, Junior Business Counselor of Negosyo Center Jones, served as the resource speaker and discussed the importance of effective packaging and proper product labeling in enhancing product presentation, marketability, and consumer awareness.
The activity was facilitated by Ms. Irene Y. Hipolito, Junior Business Counselor of Negosyo Center Cordon, in coordination with the Pag-asa Sitio Bimmangon Association headed by President Mary Ann Padilla and its members.
The successful conduct of the seminar was made possible through the cooperation and support of the Local Government Unit of Cordon and Barangay Quirino under the leadership of Punong Barangay Jaime P. Sumbad together with the Barangay Council. Punong Barangay Jaime P. Sumbad also delivered the closing remarks during the activity.
As part of DTIโs continuing support to local associations and entrepreneurs, a separate discussion regarding the enhancement and improvement of the participantsโ product label designs is scheduled to be conducted in the coming days.
