🌸 Strengthening Safe Motherhood in Barangay Consolacion 🌸

A meaningful day dedicated to our mothers and babies! ❤️👩‍🍼

On August 20, 2026, we came together in Barangay Consolacion, Cagayan de Oro City for our Safe Motherhood Program Activity—promoting healthy pregnancies, safe deliveries, and a healthier community. 💕

Big thanks to our NGO partners, our CNPC, PBSP and Intellicare, for their valuable support, and to our ever-supportive PB Hon. Derby Pacudan, Kagawad on Health April Chua, PHN Sir Karlo Misael Francisco , RN, Midwife Jenn Galarion, NDP Violan Ruiz Carrillo, BHWs, and BNSs for making this activity possible. And also the incharge of this slides and operate no other than our IT Ms. Lhady Catanus 🙏❤️

Learning, collaborating, and growing together for a healthier Region X! 💚

The Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) of Consolacion proudly participated in the 5th Regional Nutrition Forum 2026 held at the Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City, alongside representatives from the different barangays across Region X.

The forum provided valuable insights, updates, and best practices that will further strengthen our nutrition programs and services in our community. It was truly an inspiring opportunity to learn, share experiences, and reaffirm our commitment to promoting better nutrition and healthier lives for every Filipino family.

We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our ever-supportive Punong Barangay, Hon. Derby T. Pacudan, for his unwavering support and encouragement, and to our dedicated Kagawad on Health, Hon. April Chua, for always standing with us and supporting every nutrition-related activity. Your leadership and commitment continue to inspire us to serve our community with dedication and excellence.

Launching of the Dengue Awareness Campaign

The Dengue Awareness Campaign was successfully launched at the Barangay Consolacion Day Care Center with the active participation of all parents of nursery students.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our Child Development Teachers, Ms. Cresilin Paalam and Ms. Juliet Laure, for their dedication and support.

Special thanks to our resource speakers, Dr. Kisha Fehr Luzon and Mr. Karlo Misael Francisco, for sharing valuable information and increasing awareness about dengue prevention and control.
We also acknowledge the support of our NDP, Ms. Violan Ruiz Carrillo , all Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), and all Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) for their assistance throughout the activity.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our ever-supportive Punong Barangay, Derby Pacudan , and our Kagawad on Health, April Chua , for their unwavering support and commitment to the health and well-being of our community.

UPDATE ON HEALTH AND NUTRITION: SUCCESSFUL FEEDING ACTIVITY AT ISLACUPA

On May 30, 2026, a successful feeding activity was conducted in ISLACUPA, District 3, Barangay Consolacion, Cagayan de Oro City, as part of our continuing efforts to promote the health and nutritional well-being of children in the community.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the generosity and support of our partner institution, Lourdes College, represented by Ma’am Myrna Fantonalgo, who provided nutritious and delicious arroz caldo for the children. Their kindness and commitment to community service brought smiles and nourishment to many young beneficiaries.

Leading the activity was Kagawad April Chua, Chairperson on Health and Nutrition, together with our hardworking Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), who actively participated in the preparation and distribution of the meals. Their dedication ensured that every child received a warm and healthy serving despite the challenging weather conditions.
This feeding activity reflects the power of collaboration between local government units, educational institutions, and community volunteers in addressing nutrition concerns and improving the quality of life of our residents. It also serves as a reminder that even simple acts of kindness can make a significant difference in the lives of children.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and resources to make this activity a success. May this inspire more partnerships and initiatives that promote health, nutrition, and community development in Barangay Consolacion.

Technical Orientation on Internal Assessment and Recognition for Child Development Centers

On May 27, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a Technical Orientation on Internal Assessment and Recognition for Child Development Centers was conducted at Chronin Hall, St. Augustine Cathedral by the City Social Welfare and Development Office.

The activity was attended by our active Barangay Captain, Derby Pacudan ; Chairman on Education and Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC), Kagawad DANTE ROA; Child Development Teachers Julieta Oppus Laurie and CRESILIN PAALAM; BHW Lenie Pepito; BNS Kchristy Mae A. Tenaja ; and IRISH BACARISSAS, Parent Leader Representative.

The orientation provided valuable insights and guidance on the internal assessment and recognition process for Child Development Centers, strengthening the commitment of stakeholders to promote quality early childhood care and development services in the community.

National Buntis Day 2026

The National Buntis Day 2026 was successfully held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the City Tourism Hall, with the participation of 10 pregnant mothers from the community. The activity aimed to promote maternal health awareness and provide support to expectant mothers through health education and community involvement.

The event was assisted by BHW Mrs. Exequila Oliveros Col-long , whose dedication and assistance greatly contributed to the smooth flow of the program. We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kap. Derby Pacudan and Kagawad on Health April Chua for their unwavering support and initiative in providing transportation for the participants, ensuring their safe and convenient travel to the venue.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this activity meaningful and successful in promoting the health and welfare of pregnant mothers in the community.
