Laak Davao de Oro--On July 29, 2024, at 6:00AM, Laak MPS personnel, under the leadership of PMAJ MARIETES P. SALANGUIT, Chief of Police, ensured police visibility and security at various educational institutions in the municipality, specifically Laak Central SPED Center and Laak National High School. This initiative aims to provide a peaceful and orderly start to the academic year.

This activity is part of Laak MPS ongoing efforts to enhance safety through increased police visibility and anti-criminality campaigns. It aligns with the "Balik Eskwela 2024" program, emphasizing the safety and security of students and teachers as they return to school.

RA 10591 Comprehensive and Ammunition Regulation Act

SECTION 41 ILLEGAL TRANSFER/REGISTRATION OF FI****MS

It shall be unlawful to transfer possession of any firearm to any person who has not yet obtained or secured the necessary license or permit thereof.

Penalties:
- Prision correccional or imprisonment of 6 mos and 1 day to 6 years;
- Disqualified to apply for a license to possess other fi****ms; and
- All his/her existing fi****ms licenses whether for purposes of commerce or possession, shall be revoked.

On April 1-4, 2024, at least 60 PNP personnel were deployed throughout the celebration of the 45th Araw ng Laak to ensure public safety and security among the honorable guests, VIPs, contestants, and all the residents of the Municipality of Laak who wished to witness the grand celebration.

The successful celebration of the 45th Araw ng Laak was generally peaceful and was made possible because of the combined efforts of the Laak PNP, AFP, BFP, Security Force Multipliers, the Local Government Unit of Laak, and the active support of the community, said PMAJ MARIETES P SALANGUIT, Acting Chief of Police of Laak MPS.

With this, rest assured that Laak MPS personnel will continue to double our efforts in maintaining the peace and order of the municipality and will continue to ignite our commitment to ensuring the welfare of the constituents of our beloved Municipality of Laak.
