Focused Group Discussion (FGD) and Key Informant Interview (KII)
The Commission on Human Rights conducts monitoring on in**st r**e cases in select areas of the Philippines including the Northern Mindanao.
Claveria being one of the Municipalities in Northern Mindanao is among the participating LGUs along with the City of Gingoog.
On May 28, 2026 Focused Group Discussion (FGD) was participated by community stakeholders from LGU Claveria and Gingoog such as representatives from community women, adolescents, religious sector, academe, and IP community, on the other hand on May 29, 2026 the Key Informant Interview (KII) was conducted participated by the Provincial Prosecutor Atty. Irene Meso along with other Prosecutors from PPO Mis. Or., the Public Attorneys Office (PAO), PNP Chief of both Claveria and Gingoog, WCPD Officers, Barangay VAW Desk Officers, DSWD Center Heads and Social Workers, NGOs namely Balik Kaanyag, Just One Touch Foundation, and Kasanag Daughters Foundation.
C/MSWDO Social Workers from Claveria and Gingoog are also among the participants including IPMR Bae Anita Paje representing the IP community.
The FGD and KII aims to examine, generate data and first hand information on the drivers of in**st r**e and assess the effectiveness and rights-compliance of r**e response systems straight from the community sectors, stakeholders and service providersโtheir lived experiences, challenges, and recommendations with goal of improving the reporting and referral pathways, measures of prevention, response, and interventions as well as amendments in legislations.
LGU Claveria led by Mayor Dr. Reynante L. Salvaleon strongly supports this cause by partnering with the CHR in the conduct of series activities, logistics, and assistance from LGU personnel.
