OZAMIZ CITY — The local government of Ozamiz has strengthened its support for Ancillary Service Officers through the release of their allowances, underscoring the administration’s continued recognition of their vital role in grassroots governance and community service.
The allowance turnover ceremony was held at the Ozamiz City Gym on May 13, 2025, attended by city officials and representatives. The initiative reflects the city government’s continuing efforts to empower frontline personnel who assist in barangay operations and help ensure the efficient delivery of local programs and services.
During the event, Mayor Sam Norman Fuentes emphasized that the city’s progress is anchored on the dedication of the Ancillary Service Officers, giving strong recognition to their hard work and commitment.
“Kung unsa man ang among mga nahimo nga kalamboan karon, kamo gayud ang tinuod nga hinungdan… ang inyong kakugi ug pagserbisyo giila sa inyong lokal nga pangagamhanan,” the mayor said, highlighting that the achievements of the city would not be possible without their service and perseverance.
He added that the allowance release is a concrete expression of appreciation, acknowledging the officers’ sacrifices and continuous contributions to community development and public service delivery.
City officials also noted that the program aligns with the broader vision and development direction of Governor Henry S. Oaminal, Congressman Ando Oaminal, and Congressman Indy Oaminal, whose support and initiative programs aim to strengthen public service systems and empower frontline workers across the province. The city government said the initiative reflects shared goals of improving governance, enhancing community support, and recognizing the essential role of workers in local development.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining programs that uplift barangay-based personnel, describing the move as part of ongoing efforts to build a responsive, inclusive, and service-oriented local government.
