The BFAR-PFOI in partnership with the City Government of Vigan implemented the Balik Sigla sa Ilog at Lawa (BASIL) project at Mestizo River, Brgy. Tamag, Vigan City. The project aims to restore and rehabilitate fishery resources through stock enhancement (dispersal of 25,000 pcs elvers eel & 500 pcs milkfish fingerlings).

Trichogramma evanescens is a tiny wasp or parasitoid that attacks corn insect pest.

Trichogramma is a bio-control agent to control the insect pest in corn.
