A total of 11 schools are competing in the Regional POPQUIZ, accompanied by their respective teachers and coaches. Representatives from DepEd Tayo Region VII and the Commission on Population and Development Region VII also joined the event.

The competition formally opened with introductory messages, followed by the opening ceremony and acknowledgement of participants.

The Komisyon sa Populasyon at Pagpapaunlad - Negros Island Region formally held its Office Blessing and Inauguration on March 11, 2026, marking an important milestone in strengthening population and development initiatives in the region.

The office blessing was officiated by Rev. Fr. Isabelo A. Carloman Jr. at the CPD NIR Office in Bacolod City, followed by the inauguration program at Natureโ€™s Village Resort. The event gathered representatives from national government agencies, LGUs, academic institutions, and civil society organizations, highlighting strong multi-sectoral support.

This milestone represents a great leap forward following the establishment of the Negros Island Region as a separate region from Central Visayas (Region VII), further strengthening regional coordination and development efforts.

The inauguration signals a new chapter in strengthening regional coordination and improving the quality of life of Negrenses and Siquijodnons.๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿ’œ
