CONCESSION STATEMENT OF MR. LUCKY CABAÑA:

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Tonight I share with you my warmest congratulations to the winning candidates of both parties, SMEAR AND SYRINGE, especially to my outstanding and worthy opponent, Mr. Gentallan, for successfully winning the trust of the medtech student body.

I can’t describe how thankful I am first and foremost to God, for giving me this experience which blossomed many meaningful lessons that I can look back someday.

My parents, especially to my number one fan, My Loving Mom, for being my inspiration. Don’t worry mom, I assure you I will become a doctor someday.

My friends and classmates, especially Bryan, Rubeleen, CJ, Athena for the great effort and support during the course of my campaign. You guys are really the best of friends!

And lastly, to the MEDTECH Student body. Thank you for the smiles, the handshake, for shouting my name “GO KUYA LUCKY”. Thank you for believing. Indeed, you guys inspired me and humbled me.

I so wish -- I so wish that I had been able to fulfill your hopes to lead the college in a different direction, but the student body chose another leader. And so I earnestly join with you to earnestly pray for him and for the betterment of the college of medical technology.

I pray our chosen leaders will serve the student body wholeheartedly and they will exhibit a brand of leadership that is centered on innovation and transformation.

I may have lost the battle but I surely won the experience. God has a better plan for me, I have faith and courage. I fought. I tried. I lost. But, I shall still walk tall with a determined mind and a big heart.

In case you missed it, this is the full text of Chloe Aguila's campaign speech on yesterday's meeting de avance.

"Good Evening, my fellow medtechs!!

My name is Chloe Aguila from Block 3-A and I am here to please you to vote me into the Governor’s office today.
I know that a lot of you want me to stand up here and talk wise for two minutes and tell you that a vote for Chloe is a vote for the College of Medical Technology., but I would first like to address some of the issues involved in today’s elections.
Today’s election is of dire importance to the short-term and long-term future of our College SBO. We need strong leadership this year. I would like to submit to you that given my leadership in my beloved block, 3-A, serving them as mayor for almost three years now is of great advantage in making you believe that I have the capacity to lead the MT-SBO.

I can be a leader of high-caliber. I am open minded, helpful, down to earth, experienced in my role. But in the many years that I have served my fellow students since high school, I have realized that leadership is not entirely about governing, influencing and directing people. It’s about serving them from the heart. The leader is a servant. Chloe Aguila is a servant of many reasons. Chloe Aguila can be your tunnel to the SBO. I can be your instrument to further place the student body at the heart of this organization. We can work this out together.

I will have a suggestion box or the grievance cell which addresses the students concerns. I believe that this will be the best of the improvements that I plan to make here. I will also ensure that all the required information is passed onto the students in time and gather feedback on the same.

We understand, deep in our DNA, that you can’t have a strong organization and
strong leadership without strong support from the student body to sustain them
and you can’t have a strong support without inspiration.

I would like to urge you all not to cast your vote based on friendship. Let not these personal things overshadow the reason why you must vote for him or her. The truth is we are in need of individuals, who have the potential to represent us and our college, who can give their heart and soul for the betterment of the student body.

Friends, I cannot encourage you enough to make the right choice and vote for me into the Governor’s office. My dedication and hard work will lead us into a golden age. I hope my professional conduct and serious attitude have shown you that I am devoted to the cause of improving our college.

Lastly, this election will mark as one of the most memorable times of my life. I have done my very best to express my cause. My party and I have been consistently yelling for change of leadership in the MT-SBO . WE NEED NEW PEOPLE TO LEAD US. WE NEED FRESH IDEAS TO USE. We need new decisions to make. We need new minds to formulate. I am not the ANSWER. SMEAR IS NOT THE ANSWER. BUT, WE CAN BE THE SOLUTION.

For the future of our college, MAKE A SMEAR AND VOTE FOR IT. CHLOE AGUILA, YOUR GOVERNOR!"
