Are you ready to set sail toward your maritime dreams?
We are inviting all interested applicants for the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (NSA) Scholarship Program to verify your attendance for the Entrance Examination happening on December 20–21, 2025, at the Argao Sports and Cultural Complex.

🗓 EXAM SCHEDULE DETAILS:
- The venue can accommodate 200 applicants per day.
- Slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
- The official list of examinees and their assigned schedules will be posted here soon, so stay tuned!

⚠ IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
1️⃣ Make sure you have completed STEP 1 of the application process by filling out the NSA Application Form.

Due to the postponement of the sewing training by the Vertex One Apparel, in partnership with the Argao Local Government Unit, the program will now commence on November 10, 2025 (Monday).

Venue: Training Center, Candabong, Binlod, Argao, Cebu
(Located across the Regional Rehabilitation Center for the Youth)

Trainer: Mr. Arman Largo of Vertex One Apparel

Qualifications:
• 18–38 years old
• Open to applicants from neighboring municipalities

The Local Government of Argao through the IT Department headed by Engr. Charlton Teo, encourages all Argaoanons to install and use the eGovPH App, a one-stop digital platform designed to make government services more accessible and convenient for everyone.

Through the eGovPH app, users can easily access various online government services such as digital government IDs, eTravel forms, and both application and renewal of business permits—all in one place.

The initiative aims to promote digital governance and ensure that public service is delivered in a faster and more efficient manner. By using the app, Argaoanons can save time and effort in processing government transactions without the need to visit multiple offices.

The Vertex One Apparel in partnership with the Argao LGU is now accepting 14th batch of the Basic Sewing Skills Trainees.

Training will start on November 4, 2025, Tuesday at the training center located in Candabong, Binlod, Argao, Cebu, across Regional Rehabilitation Center for the Youth.

Trainer is Mr. Arman Largo from Vertex 1 apparel.

The Municipal Government of Argao, led by Mayor Allan Sesaldo and Vice Mayor Atty. Orvi Ortega, and through the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) headed by Miss Florencia Embudo, and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by Mrs. Flordeliza Botero, conducted its third round of financial assistance for elderly residents on October 21, 2025, at the Argao Sports Complex.

A total of 120 beneficiaries received aid, composed of 118 octogenarians and nonagenarians and two centenarians. Each octogenarian (80 & 85 years old) and nonagenarian (90 & 95 years old) received ₱10,000, while each centenarian (100 years old) received ₱100,000.

R.A. No. 11982, signed into law by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. last year, grants ₱10,000 to senior citizens upon reaching the ages of 80, 85, 90, and 95 years old, while maintaining the ₱100,000 cash gift for centenarians who are 100 years old, as mandated by the Centenarians Act of 2016 (Republic Act No. 10868).

A total of 27 applicants aspiring to join the Philippine National Police (PNP) underwent screening and interview conducted by the AdHoc Committee at the second floor of the Argao Municipal Police Station.

The panel was composed of PCPT. Eden Rex L. Baguio, OIC-Chief of Police, Argao MPS; LGOO VI Lewelyn M. Arquillano, MLGOO-Argao; Hon. Gus Anthony L. Bacalso, SB Member and POC Chair; Mr. Felix Boltiador, Head of Bantay Dagat; and Mr. Rustico B. Yangyang, Jr., CSO Representative and MPOC Member.

The activity aimed to ensure that only qualified and capable applicants advance in the recruitment process in line with the PNP’s standard of transparency and merit-based selection.
