14CMOBn Joins Monthly Flag-Raising Ceremony, Reaffirms Oath of Allegiance

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – The14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), CMOR, Philippine Army, led by Second Lieutenant Theophillus R Fontiveros PA, stood united with fellow personnel in the monthly flag-raising ceremony and reaffirmation of the Oath of Allegiance held at Visayas Command (VisCom), Camp Lapulapu, on 07 September 2026.

The participation of the Katipanan Battalion reflects its steadfast commitment to unity, discipline, and dedicated service in support of the mission of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

The ceremony featured the recitation of the “Bagong Pilipinas” Pledge and the singing of the “Bagong Pilipinas” Hymn, reinforcing the collective commitment of military personnel to nation-building and the pursuit of a progressive and resilient Philippines.

Through the reaffirmation of their Oath of Allegiance, the personnel of 14CMOBn renewed their commitment to uphold the Constitution, protect the Filipino people, and preserve the nation’s sovereignty and security.

The ceremony serves as a reminder of the battalion’s unwavering dedication to duty and its continuing resolve to serve the Filipino people with honor, integrity, and professionalism.

14CMOBn Strengthens Youth Awareness and Protection Through Capacity Enhancement Training

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – The 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), CMOR, Philippine Army, strengthened its partnership with local youth and community stakeholders through a Capacity Enhancement Training conducted by the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC), in coordination with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK).

14CMOBn led by First Lieutenant Krinz Ivy Rabi PA, Company Commander of 1st Civil-Military Operations Company (1CMOC), with the assistance of Corporal Dimaculangan participated in the activity headed by Hon. Leonhardt John Cabahug, with SK Chairman Hon. Justine Tibon and participating youth and stakeholders.

The training was facilitated by Ms. Puriza Tabua, City Social Welfare Services (CSWS) Officer I and Focal Person for Solo Parent, Anti-Mendicancy, and Mental Health Programs. The session focused on social welfare, child protection, mental health, and the rights and welfare of the youth.

An Information Awareness Discussion was likewise conducted under the guidance of 1LT Rabi, highlighting the importance of recognizing deceptive recruitment activities associated with the CPP-NPA-NDF, as well as promoting awareness of national security concerns, including issues concerning the West Philippine Sea.

The activity provided the youth and other vulnerable sectors with relevant information to help them make informed decisions, recognize potential risks, and become more resilient and responsible members of their communities.

Hon. Justine Tibon and members of the BCPC expressed their appreciation to the participating personnel for their support and active participation in the successful conduct of the activity.
The engagement further strengthened the partnership among the Philippine Army, BCPC, SK, local government stakeholders, and the community in promoting youth protection, awareness, resilience, and active civic participation.

14CMOBn Supports School Safety Drill on Active Attack Preparedness in Danao City

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – The 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), CMOR, Philippine Army, in coordination with elements of Delta Company, 47th Infantry “Katapatan” Battalion (47IB), 3rd Infantry Division, Philippine Army, supported the conduct of the Nationwide Simultaneous Sequence School Safety Drill on Active Attack Incidents at Pili Integrated School, Barangay Pili, Danao City, Cebu.

Staff Sergeant Cordeta PA, together with personnel of Delta Company led by Staff Sergeant Samuel T. Laguda (Inf) PA, coordinated with Hon. Joverlito Martel, Barangay Captain, and Mr. Joel M. Garcia, School Principal, during the activity.

The drill aimed to enhance the preparedness, awareness, and response capabilities of students and school personnel in dealing with possible active attack incidents. Minor challenges in participant coordination and movement during the simulation were effectively addressed through close coordination among military personnel, barangay officials, and school authorities.

The successful conduct of the activity demonstrated the importance of preparedness, teamwork, and coordinated response in promoting a safe and secure learning environment.

The initiative further strengthened the partnership among the Philippine Army, barangay officials, and school administration in advancing school safety and community resilience.

14CMOBn, 47IB Provide CMO Support and Info Awareness Program to BSP/GSP Activity in Danao City

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – The 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), CMOR, Philippine Army, in coordination with elements of Delta Company, 47th Infantry “Katapatan” Battalion (47IB), 3rd Infantry Division, Philippine Army, provided CMO Support and Info Awareness Program during a Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines (BSP/GSP) activity at Pili Integrated School, Barangay Pili, Danao City, Cebu.

Staff Sergeant Cordeta PA, together with personnel of Delta Company led by Staff Sergeant Samuel T. Laguda PA, coordinated with Mr. Joel M. Garcia, School Principal, upon arrival to establish appropriate security measures and ensure a safe, peaceful, and orderly environment for the participating students, faculty, and activity organizers.

Security personnel maintained a visible presence and monitored the vicinity throughout the activity while closely coordinating with school authorities and concerned personnel.

The activity was successfully conducted in a safe, peaceful, and orderly manner, with no untoward incidents reported. The security presence contributed to the protection and safety of the students, faculty, and organizers, reinforcing the Philippine Army’s commitment to supporting schools and creating a secure environment for youth-centered activities.

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – The 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), Civil-Military Operations Regiment, Philippine Army, led by First Lieutenant Krinz Ivy B. Rabi (MI) PA, strengthened its partnership with the Cadulawan Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association of Minglanilla (CARBAM) through a tree-planting activity at the organization’s communal area in Barangay Cadulawan, Minglanilla, Cebu.

The activity was conducted in collaboration with CARBAM, led by its President, Mrs. Ella Ababon, as part of the continuing efforts to promote environmental protection and community participation in sustainable development.

14CMOBn Strengthens LGU Coordination, Conducts Information Awareness Drive in Asturias

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – The 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), CMOR, Philippine Army, strengthened its coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Asturias while promoting awareness and resilience among the youth during an Information Awareness Drive at Barangay Langub, Asturias, Cebu.

First Lieutenant Roylando Garcia PA and Master Sergeant Teofilo Agosto PA conducted an Information Awareness Drive for the students at Cebu Technological University (CTU)–Asturias Campus. The discussion covered Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE), awareness against illegal recruitment, misinformation and the West Philippine Sea issue.

The activity provided the students with relevant information to help them become more informed and critical in navigating issues that may affect their communities and the nation.

ARMY CARES | 14CMOBn Supports Outreach Program, Brings Essential Services to Tuburan Community

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – The 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), CMOR, Philippine Army, led by Sergeant Rey B. Barnedo PA, provided security and necessary assistance during an Outreach Program Services activity in Barangay Antipolo, Tuburan, Cebu, in support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tuburan.

The activity, conducted in coordination with the LGU Tuburan, Barangay Antipolo officials, and various government service providers, brought together personnel from the Municipal Health Center, Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Public Safety Officers (BPSO), Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and Municipal Agriculture Office.

The outreach program benefited approximately 150 residents who availed themselves of various free services, including medical consultations, medications, health check-ups and blood pressure monitoring, vitamins, haircuts, massage, animal vaccination, and food assistance such as lugaw, bread, ice cream, and lunch.

The successful conduct of the activity highlighted the collective efforts of the Philippine Army, LGU Tuburan, Barangay Antipolo, and participating government agencies in bringing essential services closer to the community.

Beyond the delivery of basic services, the outreach program strengthened community partnerships and demonstrated the importance of collaboration in addressing the needs of local communities. The 14CMOBn remains committed to supporting government-led initiatives that promote community welfare, unity, and inclusive development throughout Cebu.

14CMOBn FOSTERS ENVIRONMENTAL PARTNERSHIP THROUGH PAMAPI NURSERY PROJECT

CAMP LAPU-LAPU, Cebu City – The 14th Civil-Military Operations “Katipanan” Battalion (14CMOBn), CMOR, Philippine Army, conducted a monitoring visit to the community nursery of the PAMAPI in Barangay Pili, Danao City, Cebu, as part of its continuing support to community-based environmental initiatives.

Staff Sergeant Cordeta and Private First Class Anton coordinated with Mrs. Emma Pasaje, wife of Mr. Albertino Pasaje, President of PAMAPI, to assess the progress of the nursery project.

According to Mrs. Pasaje, PAMAPI members resumed construction on 27 August 2026 following the receipt of additional construction materials from the Aboitiz Foundation. The members are scheduled to continue construction on 05 September 2026 to ensure the timely completion of the facility.

As for the latest monitoring, approximately 85% complete, with PAMAPI members continuing work on the remaining portions of the structure. Once completed, the facility will support the group's planned tree-planting and environmental activities.

The 14CMOBn remains committed to strengthening partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders in support of sustainable environmental initiatives and community development.
