Stigma, stereotyping and discrimination continue to be barriers in understanding the truth behind drug abuse and addiction.

The coalition of Anti-Drug Abuse Communities of Cebu City was born out of passion to address the urgent need to combat the stigma. onate to inform and educate the Sugbuanons on the ill-effects of illegal substance, using a community-based approach. The coalition of Anti-Drug Abuse Communities of Cebu City was born out of passion to address the urgent need to combat the stigma against drug abuse and addiction, especially on the underprivilege and vulnerable sectors, by providing education on the grass roots level. Vision:

A promising generation of Sugbuanons, who are informed, empowered and equipped to battle the ignorance on substance abuse and addiction. Mission:

Prevention - Engage and educate the public on substance abuse prevention through a holistic, localized, culturally-adaptive and crisis resilient approach. Inclusion - Inspire positive change by involving people who use drugs and other drug personalities and strengthening prevention and harm reduction strategies for all. Connection - Since the opposite of addiction is connection, our aim is to bridge the gab between the communities and that of the policy-makers. "Nothing about us, is for us, without us." Participation - Ignite communities and multi-sectoral groups to work together towards eradicating the stigma on drug abuse and addiction.

Kabataan Kontra Droga and Terrorismo (KKDAT) and Buhay Ingatan Droga'y Ayawan (BIDA) of Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Sambag Uno.

The youth of today play a crucial role in shaping the future of our community. However, they are also the most vulnerable sector when it comes to the dangers of illegal drugs, peer pressure, and risky behaviors. To safeguard their potential and well-being, it is important to equip them with proper knowledge, values, and life skills that will help them make wise and healthy choices.

The KKDAT (Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo) and BIDA Program (Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan) serve as vital platforms in strengthening the fight against illegal drugs by mobilizing the youth as advocates of peace, discipline, and positive change. Through awareness campaigns and proactive involvement, the programs aim to empower young people to become partners of the government and the community in sustaining a drug-free barangay.

In this light, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Sambag Uno initiates a Drug Awareness Activity in collaboration with us CCC-ADAC and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to educate and inspire the youth. This initiative is not only about raising awareness on the harmful effects of illegal drugs, but also about building a generation of responsible, disciplined, and empowered young leaders who will stand as frontliners in promoting a safe, healthy, and progressive Sambag Uno.

The recently held Drug Awareness Talk for the Youth of Barangay Langub, Kinatarkan Island, Santa Fe during their SK CAMP 2025 was a resounding success, bringing together young people eager to learn, reflect, and commit to living a drug-free lifestyle. The event highlighted the importance of education, empowerment, and community support in protecting the youth from the dangers of illegal drugs.

Through engaging discussions, and interactive sessions, participants were reminded that the best defense against substance abuse is knowledge, strong values, and positive choices. The activity fostered awareness on the harmful effects of drugs, while also encouraging the youth to become advocates for prevention in their schools, families, and communities.

Thank you Sangguniang Kabataan - Langub, Santa Fe SK Chairman/SKF President of Municipality of Santa Fe Jeofel Illut for having Cebu City Coalition of Anti-Drug Abuse Communities and Association of Anti Drug Abuse Coalitions of the Philippines Inc.. The youth represent the future of our nation and play a vital role in shaping a progressive, peaceful, and drug-free society. However, young people today are highly vulnerable to the influence of illegal drugs due to peer pressure, curiosity, social challenges, and the search for belongingness and some other reason. Drug abuse not only destroys health and opportunities but also weakens families, communities, and the very fabric of our society.

Last Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Formosa Camp Resort in Tuburan, Province of Cebu. We conducted Drug Awareness Talk with SK Barangay Pit-Os Youth.
