When I was young, I thought growing old would take longer. 🫢🧐🤫 But 58 just came too fast. (Although, we can actually take more or less 3 years off our age because of COVID.)

But, yes, let’s enjoy the rest of the ride while not forgetting to cherish the memories of the past, good or bad. Thank you, my friends (who sent messages thru social media) for all the greetings and well wishes. While my eyes can’t see as clearly these days, reading your messages still warms the heart. Being somehow connected to one another is, indeed, a gift.

Somebody sent me this note today which gave me a hearty laugh — You know you’re getting old when you can’t walk past a bathroom without thinking “I might as well p*e while I’m here’.

Confucius once said, “At fifteen my heart was set on learning, at thirty I stood firm, at forty I had no more doubts, at fifty I knew the will of heaven, at sixty my ear was obedient, at seventy I could follow my heart’s desire without overstepping the boundaries of what was right.”

Since I am still struggling with some doubts, I guess that puts me at forty something… hehe! 🫢😊😅

Grateful for the year that has been and hopeful of the possibilities that another year brings 🙏

The National Academy of Sports (NAS) has extended the application period for incoming Grades 7 and 8 student-athletes who are into any of the eight Olympic sports that are currently the focus of the institution.

Academically competent and athletically talented natural born Filipino youth under aquatics (swimming), athletics, badminton, gymnastics, judo, table tennis, taekwondo and weightlifting may apply for the NAS scholarship program until June 30.

As part of the scholarship program, student-athletes will receive incentives like free tuition, free board and lodging at the NAS dormitory, provision of quality secondary education and access to specialized sports training in world-class facilities.

Scholars will also get monthly stipend as well as the opportunity to represent the country and the academy in international competitions and exchange programs.

The National Academy of Sports has extended the application period for incoming Grades 7 and 8 student-athletes who are into any of the eight Olympic sports that are currently the focus of the institution.
