The Toledo City Health Department, in partnership with the Cebu Provincial Health Office and Nutrition Section, successfully held the Buntis Congress on August 25, 2026 at the CEBECO III PDA Hall, City of Toledo, with the meaningful theme:

🌸 “KALIDAD NA PANGANGALAGA SA INA, KALUSUGAN NG SANGGOL MAY GARANTIYA.” 🌸

The event was graced by no less than Dr. Nikki Catalan, Health Consultant of Cebu Province, whose presence and support added significance to this important gathering dedicated to maternal and child health.

This meaningful gathering was initiated through the joint efforts and advocacy of Dr. Sheila C. Faciol and Dr. Abjel Khan D. Espera, in support of promoting breastfeeding among pregnant and lactating mothers. Their shared commitment to maternal and child health paved the way for an avenue where mothers could be empowered with knowledge, encouraged to make informed choices, and reminded of the lifelong benefits of breastfeeding. 🤱👶

The Buntis Congress brought together mothers, health professionals, and advocates in a celebration of quality maternal care, proper nutrition, breastfeeding, and healthy beginnings.

Through the continued dedication of our health leaders and partners, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every mother receives quality care and every baby has the best possible start in life. 🌱💕

Luwas ug epektibo ang bakuna nga gamiton alang sa atoang Measles Rubella - Supplemental Immunization Activity kun "Ligtas Tigdas" campaign gikan Agosto 10-28, 2026.

August 8, 2026: Protecting Cebu’s kids, one dose at a time! 💉✨

The Province of Cebu officially launched the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA)! 🇵🇭

Led by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Shy Casison Faciol, this campaign combines vital vaccines with critical Vitamin A supplementation (100,000 IU & 200,000 IU doses) to keep our children healthy and strong.

The launch was highlighted by Governor Pamela Baricuatro leading the ceremonial vaccination and Vitamin A distribution, showcasing strong provincial leadership. Made possible through the support of DOH CVHD, the activity also featured full support from National Nutrition Council Region 7 - Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Dr. Niño Archie Labordo and full attendance from dedicated Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), all ready to serve every community across Cebu.

Together, let's build a safer, healthier Cebu for our little ones! 💜
