The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Tinago proudly participated in the Summer Camp sa Sugbo 2026 held in Carcar City, Cebu from May 27–31, 2026, together with our GAD Focal Person.

This meaningful experience provided our youth leaders with opportunities to learn, grow, build friendships, and develop leadership skills that will help us better serve our community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Barangay Tinago Council, for their unwavering support and commitment to youth development. Your continued guidance and assistance made this participation possible.

Yesterday, May 15, 2026, the 𝙎𝙆 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙆𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙅𝙤𝙮 𝘽𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙤 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙖 𝘾. 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙯𝙖𝙧 attended the 𝙃𝙮𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙨 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧 to further enhance their knowledge on modern and sustainable farming techniques. 🌱

The seminar focused on innovative agricultural practices, particularly hydroponics, which allows plants to grow without soil and uses less space and water. This is a timely solution for urban communities like ours that aim to promote food security and sustainable living.

Through this learning opportunity, the SK hopes to help the barangay establish a hydroponics system within the community. This initiative will not only support local food production but also encourage households and youth to engage in practical and eco-friendly gardening activities.

Moreover, this program aims to strengthen environmental awareness among the residents, especially the youth, by introducing them to sustainable agriculture as a possible livelihood and community project. 💚

Last May 7, 2026, the Committee on Social Inclusion and Equity - Hon. Erwin Jay Z. Cañete attended the 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐗 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 together with the different SK Members of Cebu City. The seminar served as a meaningful platform to deepen our understanding of inclusivity, equality, and the importance of respecting every individual regardless of identity. 🌈✨

Through engaging discussions and shared experiences, the activity inspired us as youth leaders to continue promoting safe, inclusive, and empowering communities where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. 💙
