As the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Okoy, we believe that true leadership is found in service, and this belief has come to life during the second week of the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) for our CTU Bantayan Extension students.

Integrating these young pathfinders into our local Talipapa, we have transformed the public market into a classroom where they work side-by-side with our resilient fish vendors. In a modern world often blinded by digital trends, this immersion reminds us all that the fish vendors of Barangay Okoy are the true guardians of our food security and the economic heartbeat of our community.

Through this partnership, we are showing our youth that progress does not mean moving away from our roots, but rather honoring the manual labor and the human connections that sustain our barangay. We are proud to guide these students as they realize that the dignity of the fish vendor is foundational to our strength, proving that when we support our local market, we are investing in a more resilient and united Barangay Okoy.
