DANAO CITY POLICE NET TWO STREET-LEVEL DRUG PERSONALITIES, SEIZE ₱16.7K WORTH OF SHABU IN BUY-BUST OPERATION
Operatives of the Danao City Police Station arrested two suspected street-level drug personalities and confiscated approximately ₱16,728.00 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation conducted in Sitio Pulangyuta, Barangay Looc, Danao City, Cebu, on July 31, 2026.
The primary suspect was arrested after selling suspected shabu to an undercover police operative, while her cohort was likewise apprehended during the operation.
Recovered from the suspects were one (1) heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu used as the subject of sale, nine (9) additional heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one (1) genuine ₱200 marked buy-bust bill, and one (1) coin purse. Authorities estimated the total weight of the confiscated suspected shabu at approximately 2.46 grams, with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱16,728.00.
Charges for Violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were filed against them.

"This successful operation underscores our continuing commitment to dismantling illegal drug activities through intelligence-driven and evidence-based law enforcement operations. We will relentlessly pursue individuals engaged in the illegal drug trade and ensure that they are held accountable before the law. With the support of our communities and partner agencies, we remain steadfast in our mission of keeping Cebu safe and drug-free," PCOL Mangelen said.
The Cebu Police Provincial Office continues to call on the public to remain vigilant and actively cooperate with law enforcement authorities by reporting illegal drug activities and other crimes, strengthening the collective effort to preserve peace, order, and public safety throughout the province.
