The BFP Region 7, under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 π‘πŽπƒπŽπ‹π…πŽ 𝐏 𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐀, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, together with 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐀 𝐁 π€π‹ππ€π‰π€π‘πŽ, Provincial Fire Marshal of Cebu, 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 π“πˆπ“πŽ 𝐏 ππ”π‘π†π€π“πŽπ‘πˆπŽ, Cebu City Fire Marshal, CCFS - EMS personnel under the supervision of SFO2 Jeric F Alburo, Chief EMS promptly responded to motor vehicle collision that occurred in front of G Mall, Mabolo, Cebu City.

At approximately 2100H on 06 September 2026, Cebu City Fire Station-EMS on-duty personnel received a call requesting emergency assistance for a 26-year-old male victim reportedly involved in a motorcycle-related vehicular incident.
Upon initial assessment, the patient was reportedly riding his motorcycle while on his way home when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a taxi cab, causing him to fall from the motorcycle. The victim was conscious and responsive upon assessment. Physical examination revealed bruises, lacerations, and bleeding around the mouth and nose, as well as contusions to the forehead and (R) hip.

Action Taken:
C-spine immobilization, the wound was cleansed and properly dressed, vital signs were obtained, monitored, and duly recorded. The injured victim was transported and properly indorsed to Cebu City Medical Center for further assessment and appropriate trauma management.

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Unit of Cebu City Fire Station, headed by SFO1 Roldan C. Gonzales, OIC, conducted a skills enhancement training aimed at strengthening the technical knowledge, proficiency, and operational readiness of EMS personnel in delivering timely and appropriate pre-hospital emergency medical care.

For the purpose of filling up the One Hundred Thirty-Six (136) vacant position for Fire Officer 1 (FO1) in the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 7, the opening of the recruitment and selection process for FO1 is hereby ANNOUNCED

Applicants must meet the Minimum Requirements/Qualification Standards for the position of Fire Officer 1 (FO1) to wit:
a) A natural-born Filipino citizen:
b) A person of good moral character;
c) Must be a Bachelor's Degree holder;
d) Must possess a Second Level Eligibility;
e) Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age on the actual date of Appointment, Assumption to Duty and Oath of Office However, applicants who are 31-35 years old are advised to first secure their age waivers to quality
f Must be at least 1.57 meters or 5'2" in height for males and at least 1.52 meters or 5'0" in height for females. (Applicants who fall below the height qualificatior standard must first secure their height waivers to qualify)
g) Must not weigh more or less than five (5) kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and gender;
h)
Must have passed the neuro-psychiatric evaluation, medical examination and drug test to determine an applicant's physical and mental health;
i) Must not have been dishonorably discharged or dismissed by just cause from previous employment; and
j) Must not have been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving

STEP 4 - Upon registration, registered applicants shall receive an encrypted primary QR code, along with unique QR codes generated for each stage of the recruitment process. These QR codes shall serve as tools for identity verification, progress monitoring and tracking of applicants

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 7, under the leadership of FCSUPT FRED LINAZAN TRAJERAS JR., DSC, Regional Director, through the Cebu CIty Fire Station headed by FSUPT TITO P PURGATORIO, City Fire marshal, and under the direct supervision of SFO2 JERIC F ALBURO, OIC EMS unit.

Personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection Emergency Medical Services (BFP-EMS) promptly responded to a reported 10-70 incident in Barangay Tinago, Silang. Upon arrival, the responding team immediately conducted scene assessment and administered appropriate first aid treatment to three individuals who sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident. The patients were properly attended to and provided with necessary pre-hospital medical care to ensure their safety and stabilization.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 7, under the leadership of FCSUPT FRED LINAZAN TRAJERAS JR., DSC, Regional Director, through the Cebu CIty Fire Station headed by FSUPT TITO P PURGATORIO, City Fire marshal, and under the direct supervision of SFO2 Jeric F Alburo, OIC EMS unit.

The EMS Unit responded to a fire alarm incident at Sitio Univille, Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City to provide medical standby and emergency medical support for responding fire personnel and affected civilians. Upon arrival at the scene, EMS personnel conducted scene safety monitoring and preparedness for any potential medical emergencies related to the fire incident, such as smoke inhalation, burns, or trauma.

While on standby at the fire scene, EMS received a radio communication from Saint Florian directing the team to respond to a motor vehicular accident (MVA) that occurred in front of University of Cebu – Banilad Campus.

Upon arrival at the accident scene, EMS personnel performed a scene size-up and primary patient assessment. One victim was found to have sustained an avulsion injury on the left leg, indicating a severe soft tissue injury where skin and underlying tissue were forcibly detached.

Immediate first aid and pre-hospital emergency care were administered, including bleeding control, wound dressing, and stabilization of the injured extremity to prevent further complications and manage the patient's condition.

After providing initial treatment and stabilizing the patient, the victim was safely transported to Cebu Doctors' University Hospital for further medical evaluation and advanced treatment.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 7, under the leadership of FCSUPT FRED LINAZAN TRAJERAS JR., DSC, Regional Director, through the Cebu City Fire Station headed by FSUPT TITO P. PURGATORIO, City Fire Marshal, and under the direct supervision of SFO2 Jeric F. Alburo, OIC EMS unit.

Responded to a reported fire alarm at Sitio Tambis, Barangay Banawa, Cebu City. Upon arrival and scene safety assessment, two patients were evaluated and managed by the EMS Unit. The first patient sustained a laceration to the scalp secondary to the incident and was provided wound cleaning, bleeding control, and sterile dressing application. The second patient, a minor, sustained a superficial (first-degree) burn to the left lower extremity and was immediately treated with appropriate burn management, including cooling of the affected area and application of sterile non-adherent dressing. Both patients were stabilized on scene and provided with immediate pre-hospital care in accordance with standard EMS protocols.

Cebu City Fire Station EMS UNIT, together with S/INSP. SANCHEZ JOHNREY L, BFP R-7 Medical Doctor, responded to a male adult patient, conscious but disoriented, identified as a bystander and family member of the Binaliw incident victims.

Initial assessment revealed a known case of hypertension, with a reported seizure episode prior to EMS arrival, as relayed by bystanders. Vital signs indicated elevated blood pressure.

Pre-hospital management included:

Administration of Catapres (Clonidine) via sublingual route

Provision of oxygen therapy via nasal cannula at 3 LPM

Continuous monitoring during transport

The patient was transported by ERUF to North General Hospital for further evaluation and management.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 7, under the leadership of FCSUPT FRED LINAZAN TRAJERAS JR., DSC, Regional Director, through the Cebu City Fire Station headed by FSUPT TITO P. PURGATORIO, City Fire Marshal, and under the direct supervision of SFO2 Jeric F. Alburo, OIC EMS unit.

Continued intensified search and rescue operations at the Binaliw Dumpsite.
Operations focused on systematic area assessment, debris clearing, and coordinated sector searches, highlighting strong inter-agency collaboration, operational vigilance, and strict adherence to safety protocols to locate possible victims and safeguard the surrounding community.

During the course of operations, two members of the BFP Special Rescue Force (SRF) sustained lacerated wounds. Immediate on-site medical management was provided by the EMS unit, including wound care and the administration of tetanus toxoid, ensuring prompt treatment and preventing complications demonstrating the team’s readiness to protect both responders and civilians while sustaining mission continuity.
