The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Visayas Region, under the leadership of Acting Regional Director Hanefah Sultan through the Settlement Division headed by Acting Chief Fayda D. Kho successfully conducted the fourth leg of its Advocacy Campaign on the Importance of Civil Registration and Mobile Services 2026. Held on May 13, 2026, at Sto. Rosario Covered Court, Bogo City, Cebu, directly brings essential government services and vital information to the doorstep of the Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
The initiative aims to deliver essential services directly to the community. The program was divided into two main parts:

The first half of the event focused on educating attendees about the crucial importance of Civil Registration, the Census of Population, and other vital services of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The speakers provided valuable insights:
- Acting Chief Fayda D. Kho of Settlement Division gave the Welcome Remarks and Rationale of the Program.
- Brgy. Captain Adrian Guevarra of Sto. Rosario gave his message of support.
- Shariah Counselor at Law Abubacar Gunang of Peace Building and Conflict Resolution Division discussed PD 11596, or otherwise known as "An Act Prohibiting the Practice of Child Marriage and Imposing Penalties for Violations Thereof," a critical topic for the well-being of the Muslim Community.
- Ms. Hera Juarez and Ms. Hazel Tamayo of the Philippine Statistics Authority โ Region VII discussed the Importance of Civil Registration.
- An Open Forum allowed the attendees to ask questions that was answered by the distinguished speakers.
- Acting Chief Aurangzeb M. Ali of Administrative and Finance Division gave a short message.

The second part of the day was dedicated to providing direct Mobile Services, making it easier for residents to access essential documents and registrations. These services included:
- Registration for the National ID, a vital step towards a more unified and accessible identification system.
The event concluded with the distribution of Certificates of Recognition and Souvenirs, personally presented by Acting Chief Fayda D. Kho of Settlement Division, Acting Chief Aurangzeb M. Ali of Administrative and Finance Division, Shariah Couselor at Law Abubacar Gunang, Sihami Yasin and Mohammad Ali Decampong.
A significant shout-out was given to the dedicated NCMF-Visayas employees and staff who tirelessly served the community, including Rashidah M. Mocsir, Haneah T. Magomnang, Zobaida Gamor, Sihami Yasin, Mohammad Ali Decampong, Ramlah Mandangan-Balt and Wildan L. Mai.
This event truly exemplifies NCMF-Visayas's commitment to bringing essential government services and vital information closer to the communities we are serving, upholding the core mandate of the Commission.
