Banga, Aklan – The 82nd Infantry "Bantay Laya" Battalion, under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Elmar L. Salvador, PA, Commanding Officer, participated in the CRR Day and Culminating Program of the Accountancy Week Celebration organized by the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) on July 18, 2026, at Barangay Cortes, Balete, Aklan. Anchored on the theme, "EMPOWERING: Elevating the Filipino CPA Towards Ethical Leadership and Global Excellence," the event brought together CPAs, accountancy students, government agencies, civic partners, volunteers, and local residents in a shared commitment to community development and nation-building.

A key highlight of the celebration was the PICPATanim Tree-Planting Initiative, where government forces worked alongside partner organizations in planting Narra and coconut seedlings to promote environmental conservation and ecosystem restoration. Beyond advancing ecological sustainability, the activity highlighted the importance of strong civil-military collaboration, strengthened partnerships among stakeholders, and demonstrated a collective effort toward nurturing lasting peace, sustainable progress, and renewed hope for future generations.
