The Integrated Bar of the Philippines mourns the passing of Judge Carmela Rosario Pasquin, presiding judge of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities, following a tragic road accident in Pinamungajan, Cebu.
"Judge Pasquin's untimely death reminds us that justice is often pursued on roads less protected. It calls attention to a growing and preventable public danger: the alarming frequency of road accidents that claim lives, including those who serve the very system that safeguards ours," the IBP said in a statement on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
