₱128.5 MILLION IN SUSPECTED ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED IN PNP OPERATIONS ACROSS THREE AREAS

Under the leadership of Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief, Philippine National Police (PNP), more than ₱128.5 million worth of suspected illegal drugs and ma*****na plants were seized and destroyed in separate police and joint law enforcement operations in Pampanga, Kalinga, and Cebu on October 26 and 27, as the PNP sustained its efforts to disrupt the supply of illegal drugs.

The operations resulted in the seizure of approximately 3,745 grams of suspected ketamine with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱18.725 million in Mabalacat City, Pampanga, and 148.7 grams of suspected shabu with an SDP of ₱1.011 million in Talisay City, Cebu.

In Tinglayan, Kalinga, authorities discovered and destroyed seven ma*****na plantation sites covering about 48,500 square meters, with an estimated 544,000 fully grown ma*****na plants valued at ₱108.8 million based on SDP. No cultivator was arrested during the operation.

The Pampanga operation also led to the arrest of one suspect, while a high-value individual was arrested in the Cebu operation. The seized drug evidence was turned over for examination and proper disposition.

PGen Nartatez said the latest operations show how sustained coordination can address both the movement and production of illegal drugs.

“In just 24 hours, we were able to prevent a significant volume of illegal drugs from reaching our communities and dismantle sources of supply. Malaking bagay ito, pero hindi tayo titigil dito. Every operation should bring us closer to making our communities safer,” PGen Nartatez said.

The operations are in line with the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO), which promotes coordinated and responsive police action based on actual security concerns. These efforts also support the commitment of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to strengthen public safety and protect communities from the effects of illegal drugs.

The PNP will continue to pursue lawful, evidence-based operations while observing due process and the rights of all persons, consistent with its commitment to a Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.

UNIFIED 911 ALERT LEADS TO SWIFT RECOVERY OF CARNAPPED LUXURY VAN IN MAKATI

Under the leadership of Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief, Philippine National Police (PNP), a timely emergency report through Unified 911 led to the swift recovery of a luxury van reported carnapped in Taguig City and the arrest of a former driver in Makati City on October 27, highlighting the value of quick reporting and prompt police action.

On the morning of October 27, the Makati City Police Station received the report concerning a black luxury van believed to have been taken from Taguig City. Responding personnel from Sub-Station 5 quickly located and intercepted the vehicle near Palm Drive and Park Square Street in Barangay San Lorenzo.

Police verification showed that the vehicle matched the details of a motor vehicle alarm filed in connection with a reported carnapping incident on September 9, 2026. The owner’s authorized representative later arrived at the police station and presented documents supporting the report, including information identifying the arrested former driver as the person who allegedly took and retained the vehicle.

The former driver was arrested for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 10883, or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016. Three passengers who were with him were likewise brought to the police station for verification. The case is being prepared for appropriate legal proceedings before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.

Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the incident shows how public reporting and police responsiveness can work together to address emergencies.

“Kapag may emergency, every minute matters. The important thing is that people know where to reach us, and our responders are ready to act on the information. In this case, mabilis ang report, mabilis din ang police response,” PGen Nartatez said.

He emphasized that prompt action must always be matched with proper verification and coordination to ensure that police intervention is both effective and consistent with established procedures.

The incident forms part of the PNP’s continuing efforts to strengthen police responsiveness and operational coordination under its Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO). It likewise supports the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in making government services more accessible, responsive, and responsive to the needs of the public.

The PNP continues to encourage the public to immediately report emergencies and incidents through appropriate channels so that police personnel can assess the situation and provide timely assistance. These efforts reflect the continuing commitment to a “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”

HOT PURSUIT NETS THREE MURDER SUSPECTS IN NEGROS; FI****MS SEIZED

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested three suspects in a fatal shooting in San Enrique, Negros Occidental, on October 26, 2026, following a hot pursuit operation that led to their interception in Bago City.

The victim was riding a white motorcycle along the national highway in Sitio Asinan, Barangay Bagonawa, San Enrique, when armed suspects aboard a dark reddish vehicle allegedly tailed and shot him several times before fleeing the scene.

Personnel of the San Enrique Municipal Police Station immediately launched an investigation and hot pursuit operation. CCTV footage helped establish the suspected getaway vehicle’s direction of travel, while coordination with nearby police stations facilitated dragnet operations that led to the vehicle’s interception in Purok Crossing La Carlota, Barangay Don Jorge Araneta, Bago City.

The three arrested suspects, identified only by their aliases “Chris,” “KM,” and “Mar,” were taken into custody. Initial investigation identified “Chris” as the alleged driver, while “KM” and “Mar” were allegedly the gunmen. Police recovered fi****ms, am******on, and other evidence, including the vehicle believed to have been used in the shooting.

The suspects were brought to the San Enrique Municipal Police Station for documentation and further investigation. They face a potential charge of murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code, along with an alleged violation of Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Fi****ms and Am******on Regulation Act. One suspect was also informed of an alleged violation of Section 12, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 after an improvised tooter was recovered from his possession. Appropriate charges are being prepared for filing before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Bacolod City. Scene of the Crime Operatives were also requested to process the crime scene and collect evidence.

“This operation demonstrates our resolve to pursue suspects in violent crimes and build cases supported by properly collected evidence. We will not allow those responsible for taking innocent lives to evade accountability,” PNP Chief PGEN Nartatez said.

“Hindi titigil ang ating kapulisan hangga’t hindi napapanagot ang mga salarin. Sisikapin nating mabigyan ng hustisya ang biktima sa pamamagitan ng masusing imbestigasyon at wastong pagsasampa ng kaso,” he added.

The operation supports the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which strengthens law enforcement efforts to apprehend criminal suspects and protect communities.

TWO MISSING CHILDREN RESCUED, MAN ARRESTED FOR ABDUCTION IN PAMPANGA

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., has secured the recovery of two minor children and the arrest of a 37-year-old man in Pampanga in connection with their alleged forcible taking from their residence in Pasay City.

The Pasay City Police Station (CPS), in coordination with concerned authorities in Pampanga, apprehended the suspect, identified as alias Perdi, on October 26, 2026, in Barangay Malpitic, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The operation led to the recovery of the two children, aged 11 and 3, with assistance from the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) and concerned social welfare personnel.

Initial investigation showed that the children were allegedly taken from their residence in Barangay 184, Maricaban, Pasay City, on October 24 without their mother's consent. After learning that the minors were in Pampanga, their mother sought police assistance and subsequently identified both children and the suspect at the location.

The suspect was the complainant's former partner and the biological father of the younger child. He faces allegations of forcible abduction under Article 342 of the Revised Penal Code and violations of Republic Act No. 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. A separate case involving alleged sexual assault against the older child had previously been filed and remains under preliminary investigation before the Prosecutor's Office. This matter is separate from the present case.

Following his arrest, the suspect was informed of the nature of his arrest and his constitutional rights in a language he understood and opted to remain silent. He was brought to the WCPD Office of Pasay CPS for documentation and subsequently underwent a physical examination at Pasay City General Hospital. The appropriate complaints are being prepared for filing through inquest proceedings before the Pasay City Prosecutor's Office.

“Protecting children from abuse and unlawful acts requires decisive law enforcement and accountability. We will ensure that cases involving threats to their safety are pursued in accordance with the law and that the rights of all parties are respected,” PGEN Nartatez said.

“Ang kaligtasan ng mga bata ay responsibilidad nating lahat. Hindi tayo titigil sa pagtupad sa ating tungkulin na protektahan ang mga bata at papanagutin sa batas ang sinumang mapatunayang lumabag sa kanilang mga karapatan,” he added.

The operation reflects the PNP Focused Agenda, a framework for transforming police service through accountable and responsive law enforcement, particularly its Active Community Support priority, which emphasizes public cooperation in protecting vulnerable members of the community.

As the PNP strengthens its efforts to protect children and uphold accountability under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it assures the public of its commitment to “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”

VIRAL QC SNATCHING CASE CRACKED THROUGH FI****MS ARREST

Under the leadership of PGen Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief, Philippine National Police (PNP), a fi****ms operation in Quezon City has yielded a significant lead in the investigation of a street-snatching incident involving a young victim, after two arrested individuals were found to have possible links to the case.

What began as a police operation on October 20 at the Oliveros Footbridge along EDSA in Barangay Apolonio Samson developed into a wider investigation after authorities connected the two suspects to an October 14 incident that was captured on CCTV and later circulated on social media.

Operatives of Talipapa Police Station 3 of the Quezon City Police District were conducting follow-up police work when information from a concerned citizen led them to the two individuals beneath the footbridge at around 10:00 p.m.

Police recovered an improvised sh***un loaded with a 12-gauge cartridge from one of the individuals and an improvised handgun containing a live .38-caliber round from his companion. Both are facing charges for violation of Section 28 of Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Fi****ms and Am******on Regulation Act.

The fi****ms case subsequently provided investigators with a lead in the October 14 street-snatching incident, where a female minor waiting for a jeepney with her brother was allegedly approached by a group of five men. One of them allegedly took her gold earring, reportedly valued at ₱24,200.

The victim, accompanied by her mother, formally filed a complaint before Talipapa Police Station 3 on October 23. Investigators are now working to establish the identities and respective participation of the other individuals allegedly involved in the incident.

Chief PNP PGen JNartatez said the development shows why seemingly separate police leads can become important pieces of a larger investigation.

“Sometimes, one piece of information can open the door to the bigger picture. Kaya mahalaga ang cooperation ng ating mga kababayan. We follow the lead, check the facts, and build the case properly. Hindi lang basta makapag-aresto—ang goal natin is to make sure that the whole incident is properly investigated and that the right people are held accountable through due process,” PGen Nartatez said.

The Chief PNP also emphasized that the recovery of illegal fi****ms remains a priority as the PNP works to prevent these weapons from being used in crimes and to make communities safer.

The operation reflects the PNP’s continuing implementation of its Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO), which calls for strengthened police response, better information gathering, and closer coordination with communities in addressing crime concerns.

Under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the PNP continues to strengthen its efforts to make police services more responsive while ensuring that investigations are conducted fairly and in accordance with the law.

The PNP encourages the public to remain vigilant and to promptly report suspicious activities or information that may help authorities prevent or solve crimes. The public is likewise reminded to allow investigators and the courts to establish the facts and determine responsibility based on evidence and due process.

As police work continues on the case, the PNP remains committed to delivering responsive and responsible service to communities, consistent with its commitment to a Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.

COP TURNS NURSING SKILLS INTO TIMELY HELP FOR MOTHER IN AKLAN

Under the leadership of PGen Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief, Philippine National Police (PNP), a police officer in Aklan put his nursing training to use when a mother went into labor at home and needed immediate assistance before she could be brought to a hospital.

The 39-year-old mother was about to give birth in Caticlan, Malay, Aklan, when waiting for an ambulance or making the trip to a medical facility was no longer practical. The male police officer, a registered nurse assigned to the PNP Aviation Security Group Caticlan Airport Police Station, responded and assisted the mother with the support of personnel from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Malay.

The baby was safely delivered at home. The mother and her newborn were subsequently brought to Motag Hospital for medical assessment and further care.

For PGen Nartatez, the incident reflects the kind of readiness expected from police personnel—being prepared not only to enforce the law, but also to respond with competence and compassion when circumstances call for immediate help.

“Sometimes, service means doing more than what people expect from us. In this case, our police officer happened to have the medical training needed at exactly the right moment. Mabuti na lang, he was there and ready to help,” PGen Nartatez said

The Chief PNP also acknowledged the assistance of the Malay MDRRMO personnel, noting that situations such as this show how cooperation among responders can make a real difference when immediate help is needed.

The incident reflects the PNP’s continuing effort to strengthen police readiness and responsive operations under its Focused
Agenda, particularly through Enhanced Managing Police Operations. It also supports the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in advancing public service that is responsive to the needs of communities.

For the PNP, service is not limited to maintaining peace and order. It also means being prepared to lend a helping hand when circumstances call for it. In moments like this, the Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman is seen not only in police operations, but in the simple act of being ready to help when it matters.
