The Office of the City Election Officer, Cebu City 1st District, hereby informs the public that the request for the transfer of voting center of Barangay San Jose, Cebu City 1st District has been APPROVED in accordance with COMELEC Resolution No. 11063.

The approved transfer is as follows:

From: Talamban National High School, Barangay Talamban, Cebu City
To: San Jose Elementary School, Barangay San Jose, Cebu City

The transfer was approved due to the accessibility of the proposed voting center, as it is centrally located within the territorial jurisdiction of Barangay San Jose and is situated in close proximity to the residences of the affected voters.

📣NOTICE OF HEARING FOR APPLICANTS📣

The Office of the City Election Officer, Cebu City 1st District, hereby informs the public that applications for voter registration covering April 1, 2026 to May 18, 2026 are set for hearing on June 1, 2026.

For this period, there are a total of 8,113 applicants, composed of 4,166 male applicants and 3,947 female applicants.

Any person may challenge under oath any application for registration by stating the grounds thereof on or before May 25, 2026.

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖: '𝟰 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗟𝗘𝗙𝗧 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗩𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗦'

LOOK: The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) reminded the public that only four days remain before the May 18, 2026 deadline for voter registration ahead of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

COMELEC also encouraged registered overseas voters currently in the Philippines to transfer their voter registration records from their foreign post to a local precinct during the ongoing registration period.

Voter registration is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday to Saturday, including holidays, at local Offices of the Election Officer and satellite or mall registration sites.

The poll body clarified that voter registration in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) already ended last March 31, 2026.

Applicants are advised to prepare valid IDs and accomplish the necessary registration forms before heading to registration centers.
