𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Labor Advisory No. 13, Series of 2026 - Pay Rules on 21 August 2026 - Ninoy Aquino Day - Special (Non-Working) Day

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, Series of 2025, the following pay rules shall apply tomorrow:

• If the employee does not work , the “no work, no pay” principle shall apply unless there is a favorable company policy, practice, or collective bargaining agreement (CBA) granting payment on a special day;

• For work performed during the special day, the employer shall pay the employee an additional 30% of the basic wage on the first eight hours of work (Basic wage x 130%).

• For work performed in excess of eight hours, the employer shall pay the employee an additional 30% of the hourly rate on said day (Hourly rate of the basic wage x 130% x 130% x number of hours worked).

• For work performed during the special day that also falls on the employee's rest day, the employer shall pay the employee an additional 50% of the basic wage on the first eight hours of work (Basic Wage x 150%).

• For work performed in excess of eight hours during the special day that also falls on the employee's rest day, the employer shall pay the employee an additional 30% of the hourly rate on said day (Hourly rate of the basic wage x 150% x 130% x number of hours worked).

Naghain si Secretary Francis N. Tolentino ng Motion for Reconsideration sa Pasig Regional Trial Court upang hilingin ang pagtanggal ng injunction laban sa pagpapatupad ng NCR Wage Order No. 27.

Patuloy na isinusulong ng DOLE ang nararapat na legal na hakbang upang maipatupad ang ₱85 dagdag-sahod para sa mga minimum wage earners sa Metro Manila, alinsunod sa tripartite wage-setting process at mandato ng Kagawaran na protektahan ang karapatan at kapakanan ng mga manggagawa.

Binigyang-diin ni Secretary Francis N. Tolentino ang kahalagahan ng maayos na koordinasyon, libreng legal assistance, at matibay na tripartismo sa paghahatid ng mga programa at serbisyo ng DOLE sa mga manggagawa. Kabilang sa mga inihahandang hakbang ang pagpapalakas ng Labor Attorneys’ Office (LAO) at pagtatatag ng National Academy for Labor Justice upang higit na mapalawak ang access sa labor justice.

Patuloy na isinusulong ng DOLE ang pagkakaisa ng pamahalaan, manggagawa, at employers para sa matatag na industrial peace at mas maunlad na ekonomiya.

📢 Labor-Management Cooperation (LMC) and Grievance Machinery (GM) Training | Today, August 17, 2026

NCMB Regional Branch VII is conducting a specialized training on Labor-Management Cooperation (LMC) and Grievance Machinery (GM) for the newly inducted officers of Cebu Mitsumi, Inc.’s Partnership for Empowerment and Advocacy of Cooperation and Equity (PEACE) Representatives, who were recognized and inducted during the 17th PEACE Recognition and Induction Ceremonies held on July 17, 2026.

The training is being conducted in one session for approximately 120 participants at the CMI Clubhouse, Sabang, Danao City — covering LMC in the morning and GM in the afternoon, complemented by hands-on workshops to reinforce learning. Senior Labor and Employment Officer Remus M. Caducoy and Labor and Employment Officer III Franiel M. Saura are on site to facilitate the training.

Cebu Mitsumi, Inc.’s commitment to fostering industrial peace, strengthening bipartite relations, and promoting constructive dialogue within their workplace is truly commendable. NCMB Regional Branch VII is honored to be part of this important initiative.
