LIBRENG SAKAY SA BUS!

The Cebu City Government has deployed free bus services starting 4 p.m. today, February 5, 2026, to assist commuters affected by Tropical Storm Basyang.

The initiative, implemented through the Department of General Services, is part of the City’s emergency response to ensure safe, accessible, and reliable transportation, particularly for workers and residents facing mobility disruptions due to adverse weather conditions.

All free bus routes will use Colon Street as the central endpoint and will operate on a vice versa basis. | via CAV

Until now, there has been no clear information on whether the equipment is out of service, lacking an operator, or simply awaiting further instructions.

Location of Center (1:00 AM):
• Winds: 55 km/h, gusts up to 90 km/h
• Movement: West-northwest at 25 km/h
• Wind reach: Strong winds up to 200 km from the center

Areas Under Signal No. 1:
Parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, including Bohol, Cebu, Negros, Samar, Leyte, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan, Antique, and surrounding provinces. Expect strong winds with minimal to minor impacts.

Rain & Winds:
• Heavy rains are still possible due to the Shear Line + Verbena.
• Strong to gusty winds may be felt especially in coastal and upland areas, even outside areas with wind signals.

For Coastal Areas:
A Gale Warning is up in the northern and western coasts of Northern Luzon.

Track Forecast:
Verbena made landfall in Jagna, Bohol last night. It will cross the Visayas and northern Palawan today before heading to the West Philippine Sea tomorrow. It may intensify into a tropical storm.
