The 15th Regional Community Defense Group (15RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, through the 1505th Community Defense Center (1505th CDC) led by Director Maj. Vincent S. Cavanas, joined forces with reservists of the 1505th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (1505th RRIBn) under Lt. Col. Nilo P. Demerey Jr., and personnel from the 30th Infantry Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, PA. Together, they assisted in unloading 10,800 bottles of drinking water donated by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD). The distribution took place on September 4, 2026, at the PDRRMO Operations Center in Barangay Sta. Cruz and the Municipal Gym in San Jose, Dinagat Islands, to support families affected by the severe water crisis under the declared State of Calamity.
Upon the request of Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Ms. Rosario Jra R. Alon, the team collaborated with the Remedy Action Center (RAC) to unload the shipments. This effort demonstrates the readiness and volunteerism of the Reserve Force in disaster response, highlighting its vital role as a reliable force multiplier serving communities in times of need.
