09 November 2024 – BRP Dioscoro Papa (PC381) conducted Civil Military Operations activity, highlighted by the distribution of food packs to the fisher folks at Maitum, Sarangani Province. Through these efforts, the military was able to continuously demonstrate its unwavering commitment to the welfare of the Filipino people, especially in this this time of the year.

This act of service echoed the true meaning of Christmas: a time for kindness, selflessness, and reaching out to those in need. The food distribution by the BRP Dioscoro Papa (PC381) reinforced the idea that the Spirit of Christmas is not just about what we receive, but about what we can give to others. As Maitum’s fisherfolks continue to face the challenges of coastal life, they can take comfort in knowing that the Philippine Navy, stands ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
