The Livelihood Skills On-The-Go Training on Beauty Care (Microblading) was successfully conducted at Bleau Octea Resort, Cavite City.

Initiated by Councilor Doods Nuguid in coordination with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) under the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Officer (OCSWDO), and in partnership with the Office of the Provincial Cooperatives Development Officer (OPCDO), the program gathered nineteen (19) participants eager to learn microblading as a livelihood opportunity. Facilitated by Ms. Marivic Gonzaga, the training provided hands-on experience in techniques, hygiene standards, safety protocols, and client consultation.

Participants practiced eyebrow mapping and shaping, proper handling of microblading tools, stroke application on synthetic skins, pigment matching, and aftercare instructions. They were guided with practical tips to ensure professional results and build client trust.

The training achieved its goal of equipping participants with practical skills, boosting confidence, and opening opportunities for sustainable livelihood. This effort reflects the strong commitment of local government offices and partner agencies to community empowerment and development.

Special thanks to Mayor Denver Chua and Vice Mayor Raleigh Grepo Rusit for their support in making this initiative possible.

In celebration of National Womenโ€™s Month, Barangay 8โ€“Manuel S. Rojas proudly spearheaded a hands-on Livelihood-On-The-Go Training at San Lorenzo Ruiz Elementary School, empowering women and families with practical, income-generating skills.

From Meat Processing (Tocino and Longganisa) to crafting Dishwashing Liquid and Fabric Conditioner, participants gained knowledge that can be transformed into sustainable household essentials and small business ventures.

With the support of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) under the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Officer (OCSWDO), in partnership with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the sessions were led by TESDA trainer Ms. Ferlie Camerino. Participants produced their own outputs and built confidence to start small livelihood ventures. The training emphasized food safety, affordability, and entrepreneurshipโ€”showing that livelihood programs are more than just learning; they are pathways to income, confidence, and self-sufficiency.

Barangay Captain Joey Albert F. Fojas and City Councilor Hon. Marrian Mateo Pinzon delivered inspiring messages that highlighted the importance of womenโ€™s empowerment and community growth.

A total of fifty-eight (58) participants joined, leaving not only with new products but also with skills that can uplift families and strengthen the community. This initiative truly reflects the spirit of National Womenโ€™s Monthโ€”building self-reliant and empowered communities.

Together, we continue to uplift families, strengthen community ties, and celebrate the vital role of women in economic empowerment.

The orientation covered program guidelines, occupational safety standards, documentation requirements, and the package of assistance, which includes wages and group micro-insurance enrollment.

A total of four hundred fifty-nine (459) beneficiaries from various sectors and barangays attended the orientation and contract signing. The TUPAD Program provides short-term, community-based work for displaced, underemployed, or seasonal workers. Tasks include declogging canals, cleaning public areas, clearing walkways, coastal cleanup, replanting, and other community services.

Each participant received PPE (TUPAD shirt, hat, and ID) and will earn โ‚ฑ6,000 for 10 days of work, along with group micro-insurance coverage.

This initiative was made possible through the support of Mayor Denver Chua, Vice Mayor Raleigh Grepo Rusitt, and the City Councilors. More than just providing temporary income, the program empowers beneficiaries to contribute to their communities with dignity and safety.

Two (2) barangays proudly hosted back-to-back Livelihood-On-The-Go Trainings, equipping residents with practical, income-generating skills.

In the morning, Barangay 48M-Narra residents engaged in workshops on Meat Processing (Tocino and Longganisa), Dishwashing Liquid, and Fabric Conditioner Making. By the afternoon, Barangay 49M-Akasya continued the momentum with the same set of hands-on trainings for its community members.

This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) under the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Officer (OCSWDO), in partnership with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Both sessions were facilitated by TESDA-accredited trainer Ms. Ferlie Camerino, who led interactive demonstrations. Participants learned proper preparation, formulation, mixing, and packaging techniques, while gaining the confidence to explore small scale business ventures.

A total of thirty-five (35) participants in Barangay 48M-Narra and thirty-two (32) participants in Barangay 49M-Akasya actively joined the training. They took home not only their finished products but also valuable knowledge that can serve as a pathway to self-sufficiency and economic empowerment.

The back-to-back training highlighted the vital role of women in economic empowerment and perfectly aligned with the objectives of National Womenโ€™s Monthโ€”uplifting communities, fostering entrepreneurial spirit, and promoting sustainable development.

Kudos to Barangay Captains Rosemary L. Carangalan (48M-Narra) and Robilindo P. Ordoรฑez (49M-Akasya) for their leadership in empowering residents through livelihood opportunities.

The Student Development and Placement Center of San Sebastian Collegeโ€“Recoletos de Cavite, in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) under the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Officer (OCSWDO), proudly hosted its annual job fair for graduating Sebastinos.

With the theme โ€œHinubog ng Pangarap Tungo sa Pag-Asenso ng mga Sebastino,โ€ the initiative aimed to empower students in their transition from campus to career. It gave future graduates the chance to connect with local employers and government agencies, refine their interview skills, and gain confidence as they prepare for life after college.

A total of thirteen (13) local companies opened opportunities for two hundred ninety-two (292) graduating students, while representatives from national agencies such as SSS, Pag-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, PSA, PhilSys, and BIR provided valuable guidance on programs and services that support employment and social welfare.

Congratulations to our Sebastinos for taking this important step toward their dreams, and thank you to our partners for helping bridge education and career opportunities!

DOLEโ€™s Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program continues to support families by providing livelihood opportunities through the Kabuhayan Program. By empowering parents and guardians of child laborers with sustainable sources of income, this initiative helps strengthen family welfare and reduce the risk of children being engaged in labor. Through interviews and orientations, qualified beneficiaries will soon receive assistance in the form of goods, raw materials, or equipment to support their proposed projects.
