One of the Countries that Truly Amazed Me during My Recent Executive Study Tour was China 🇨🇳🤩👍🏼

I was Deeply Impressed by How Technology is Seamlessly Integrated into Daily Life, from Riding the Bullet Train from Beijing to Shenzhen, which I Didn't Know that they Have a BT and was Even Faster than Japan’s, to Witnessing Roads Filled Entirely with Electric Cars. Their Expertise is Not Only Advanced but also Defined with Precision and Purpose. 👏🏼👍🏼🙂

What Struck Me Most was their Willingness to Share Knowledge and Technology with Others. This Openness Reflects a Spirit of Collaboration that We, in the Philippines, should Embrace. 🤗🇵🇭❤ And Mind You, they are One of the Nicest People that I've Met, Very Accommodating, Hospitable & Really Looks After You. ❤❤❤

For the Betterment of our Nation, We Must Not Shy Away from Adopting Proven Best Practices from Other Countries. These are Not Just Ideas, they are Proofs of Concept Already Transforming Societies. 😉😉😉

During my Recent visit to Taiwan 🇹🇼, I Was Deeply Honored to be Invited by its Gov., through the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA) and the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), as a VIP Speaker at the 2026 Taiwan Executive Session. 🥰🥰🥰

My Presentation on my Research "Building Resilient and Ethical Digital Ecosystems: Harmonizing Innovation with Trust", was Met with An Overwhelming Reception. Leaders, Experts, and Innovators Warmly Embraced the Dialogue, Expressing their Strong Willingness to Share their Digital Practices and Experiences with the Philippines. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

As a Technology and Cybersecurity Leader, I view the recent Issue of the Canvas Learning Platform (April 29 and May 7, Two Separate) impacting nearly 9,000 Schools Worldwide affecting 200-275 Million Users. One of the affected in the Philippines is the University of the East, this is a profound reminder of the Fragility of Digital Trust in Education. This is not merely a Technical Disruption, it is a Breach of Responsibility to millions of Learners and Educators whose futures depend on the Integrity of these Systems. 🤔

Educational Platforms must be Safeguarded with the same rigor as Financial and Healthcare Infrastructures. Student Data is not trivial, it represents Identity, Reputation, and Opportunity. Protecting it requires Proactive Investment in Cybersecurity, not Reactive Measures after damage has been done. 😏

The scale of this incident demonstrates a shift in Attacker Strategy from targeting Individual Institutions to exploiting Platform‑Wide Ecosystems. Such threats demand a Coordinated, International Response where Ministries or Department of Education, Technology Providers, and Cybersecurity Leaders collaborate to set higher standards of Resilience and Accountability. 🤝🏼

For the longest time, I had been advocation a Safe Cyber Space for All, We must harmonize Innovation with Responsibility. Digital Learning Platforms should not only enable Access but also embody Resilience, Transparency, and Ethical Stewardship. Only then can we Rebuild Trust and ensure that Education remains a Safe, Empowering Space for All. 🙌🏼

Every Time I Get Invited by an Organizations in a Country or the Country Itself to be their VIP Speaker to Share My Humble Knowledge and Expertise, like Taiwan 🇹🇭 last Month, Dubai 🇦🇪 this Coming June (hopefully the conflict in the Middle East is over by then), and China 🇨🇳 this Coming July, I Can’t Help but Feel Amazed, and so Mighty Proud to Represent our Beloved Country. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

Just Yesterday, I Just had a Zoom Meeting with the Secretary General of an Association in China for My Visit in July. 🤗🤗🤗

What Really Surprises Me is that Whenever they Send Me an Email Invitation, they always attach a Google Info about Me or in this Case AI me. 🤔 Honestly, I’ve Never Tried Searching Myself Online, 😅 and I’m Just Glad it’s not My Vlogging that Shows Up… Hahaha! 😂😂😂

In the Philippines, Cybercriminals become Most Aggressive During the Holidays targeting Companies, Hospitals, and Especially Government Agencies when Staff are Distracted and Defenses are Down. 🤔🤔🤔

Why there is a spike???

✅ Reduced IT/security monitoring
✅ More online shopping & online banking
✅ Legacy systems in critical sectors

You Need to Stay Protected:

✅ Patch systems before the break
✅ Strengthen monitoring & alerts
✅ Remind everyone about phishing, malware and other cyber risks
✅ Keep an incident response plan ready

This is what I always say when I am Invited to Speak, at the end of my Presentation: "An Ounce of Prevention is Better than a Pound of Cure, because in Cybersecurity, One Breach Undone is Worth More than a Thousand Fixes.” 😉😉😉
