LOOK: DSWD Field Office VI Releases cash gifts to Centenarian in Municipality of Cauayan, Province of Negros Occidental.

Centenarian received Cash gift amounting of 100,000.00 pesos - Mrs. Apolonia Samillano Yanguas of Purok 1, Barangay Poblacion, Cauayan, Negros Occidental. Born on October 18, 1924.

The said event was led by DSWD FO VI - Section Head Lisa B. Camacho, who was joined by SWAD Team Leader Bahiyyih Ruth G. Robinson SWO II, and Social Welfare Assistant(SWA) Jezreel S. Tormo. Mayor John Rey Tabujara, MSWDO Eugenia Caña, Senior Citizens Focal Person Joy A. Hulguin and the staff of MSWDO Cauayan were also present to celebrate this occasion.

The DSWD is implementing Republic Act 10868 or the “Centenarians Act of 2016,” which honors Filipinos who have reached the age of 100 years old whether residing in the Philippines or abroad.
The law provides that centenarians will receive awards and incentives that include a cash gift of P100,000, a Letter of Felicitation (for living centenarian) signed by the President, and a Posthumous Plaque of Recognition (for deceased centenarian) from the national government thru DSWD.

-Ang 𝕊𝕆ℂ𝕀𝔸𝕃 ℙ𝔼ℕ𝕊𝕀𝕆ℕ isa ka programa sang gobyerno pinaagi sa DSWD nga magahatag bulig pinansyal sa kantidad nga 𝐏𝐡𝐩 𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎 kada bulan para sa mga kubos nga tigulang. Katuyuan sinu nga makabulig sa pang adlaw-adlaw kag medikal nga kinahanglanon sang mga katigulangan. Naga angot ini sa program sa 𝗥.𝗔. 𝟵𝟵𝟵𝟰 ukon “𝔼𝕩𝕡𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕖𝕕 𝕊𝕖𝕟𝕚𝕠𝕣 ℂ𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕫𝕖𝕟𝕤 𝔸𝕔𝕥 𝕠𝕗 𝟚𝟘𝟙𝟘”.

*Maluya, masakiton kag may diperensya sa panglawason.
*Wala pension nga ginakuha halin sa GSIS, SSS, PVAO, AFPMBAI kag iban pa nga insurance.
*Wala permanente nga ginakuhaan sang pangabuy-an.
*Wala regular nga suporta gikan sa pamilya para sa pang adlaw-adlaw nga kinahanglanon.
