LOOK: The Negosyo Center Catubig provided business counseling, livelihood consultations, facilitated SBCorp loan inquiries, and conducted an orientation on DTI program services during the LGU Catubig Serbisyo Caravan held at the Municipal Auditorium, as part of the 429th Founding Anniversary of Catubig, Northern Samar.

Other municipal department offices also joined the caravan, offering various services to the community.

This initiative, led by Municipal Mayor Solomon G. Vicencio, Vice Mayor Galahad O. Vicencio, and SB members, aims to bring government services closer to the barangays in the municipality.

It’s BAHANDI Eastern Visayas Trade Fair season once again! 🌟

LOOK: Catubig local producers proudly take part in the BAHANDI Eastern Visayas Trade Fair as it celebrates its 25th year at Megatrade Hall 1, 5th Level, Mega B, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, from October 9–13, 2025.

In a show of unwavering support for local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Catubig Municipal Mayor Solomon G. Vicencio personally visited the fair during the opening program. His presence signifies the LGU’s continued commitment to promoting homegrown products and empowering community-based livelihoods.

This year’s delegation of Catubig producers brings a diverse showcase of locally crafted goods—from handcrafted items to proudly processed native delicacies.

Ini nga programa pagsuporta sa ato mga parag-uma pinaagi san Local Government Unit of Catubig sa ilarom san liderato nira Mayor Solomon G. Vicencio ngan Vice Mayor Galahad O. Vicencio.

Makakapalit kamo sin iba-iba nga produkto tikang sa magdurudilain nga barangay—mga utanon, prutas, root crops, organiko nga produkto, processed products, ngan damo pa nga lokal nga produkto. Sakto ini para sa tiarabot nga patron!

Makidara san kalugaringon nga eco-bags! Ato ini pamaagi pagprotiher san katilingban samtang ginbubuligan nato an ato lokal nga ekonomiya.

The DTI Northern Samar Provincial Office in partnership with the LGU-Catubig headed by the ever-supportive Municipal Mayor Solomon G. Vicencio will spearhead a Diskwento Caravan Presyong Panalo para sa Mamimiling Pilipino this coming July 23–24, 2025 at the Municipal Grounds, Catubig, Northern Samar.

This event aims to provide consumers with more affordable and convenient access to essential goods and commodities including items for fiesta preparations, school supplies, and home appliances.

LOOK: Four Catubig Local Producers proudly participated in the DTI Bagong Pilipinas B2B Marketplace Regional Roadshow today, June 4, 2025, held at Hotel de Fides, Tacloban City.

This regional roadshow is a key initiative under the Bagong Pilipinas campaign that aims to strengthen local economies by bridging the gap between micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and institutional buyers. By joining this event, Catubig’s homegrown producers had the opportunity to showcase their products to a wider market, forge valuable business linkages, and gain insights into industry trends and buyer preferences.

Their participation not only highlights the potential of Northern Samar’s local products but also supports DTI’s goal of promoting inclusive growth and sustainable enterprise development across the region.

LOOK: The DTI Northern Samar Provincial Office through its Negosyo Center in Catubig participated in the Skills Enhancement Training on GAD-Related Laws and GAD Planning for Barangay 1 Poblacion, Catubig, Northern Samar officials held on June 1–2, 2025, at Clear Water Bar and Grill Beach Resort, San Roque, Northern Samar.

The activity aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of gender-related laws and strengthen the capacity of local leaders in integrating Gender and Development (GAD) principles into their plans and programs.

As part of its commitment to GAD and inclusive growth, DTI conducted Basic Entrepreneurial Development and Financial Literacy session to promote economic empowerment, especially among women and vulnerable sectors. These discussions highlighted the importance of sustainable livelihood in advancing gender equality and community development.

The activity was jointly facilitated by the officials of Barangay Poblacion 1, led by Punong Barangay Baltazar Acedera and VAWC Chairperson Lorraine Ultra in coordination with MLGOO Richee Enreras, MPDO Danilo De Asis, MSWDO Sheryl Rose Masteliro, and NCBC Sherena Hipe.
