PUBLIC ADVISORY

In observance of Holy Wednesday on April 1, 2026, the Municipality of Cateel informs all employees and the general public of the following work arrangements:

Work in the LGU offices shall be conducted on-site from 7:00 AM to 12:00 NOON only. Effective 12:01 PM onwards, work is hereby suspended.

However, offices and departments whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and the performance of other essential services shall continue their operations under the usual working arrangements and shall render the necessary services to the public.

Everyone is advised accordingly.

NOTICE TO ALL FOOD AND NON-FOOD BUSINESS OPERATORS

Please be informed that a Mobile X-Ray Activity will be conducted on january 9–10, 2026 @ 8:00 am (friday–saturday) at the Municipal Covered Court, Poblacion, Cateel, Davao Oriental.

All food and non-food business operators, including owners and personnels, are strongly encouraged as this forms part of the health and safety requirements for the issuance of health cards and sanitary permit to operate. Kindly be present on time and bring ₱250.00 payment for x-ray.

For more details, kindly ask your barangay sanitary inspectors in your barangay or do visit the municipal health office – sanitation department for guidance and compliance of all concerned.

LOOK | The Municipality of Cateel, through the Municipal Economic Enterprise Office (MEEO), successfully conducted a Learning Visit on Public Cemetery and Memorial Park Management last July 30–August 1, 2025, in Tagum City, Panabo City, and the Island Garden City of Samal.

The activity aimed to gather best practices in cemetery operations, policy implementation, infrastructure development, and revenue-generation strategies to guide the planning of the proposed New Cateel Public Cemetery and the updating of existing cemetery ordinances.

This initiative reflects Mayor Emilou "Miloy" Nuñez’s commitment to creating a sustainable, community-responsive, and well-managed public cemetery for Cateel.
