The Sangguniang Kabataan or youth council is the governing body of the youth assembly or Katipunan ng Kabataan of every barangay. They are elected by the members of, the Katipunan ng Kabataan in elections conducted by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC). The Sangguniang Kabataan affirms the role of Filipino youth in nation building mandate in R.A 10742 and strengthens support for the creation of

mechanism and opportunities to realize SK’s meaningful and active participation in governance.

ATTENDED. Orientation of Barangay Anti-Illegal Drug Council Functionality Audit and Reportorial Form.

Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay Poblacion 13, Catbalogan City headed by Hon. Efren Truelda with the Barangay Council attended the 4th Batch of orientation and the updating of anti-illegal drugs program for the community.

The activity was conducted by the DILG - Catbalogan headed by Sir Marlon Camilon and the Liga ng mga Barangay - Catbalogan Chapter headed by Hon. Edward Uy, with the presence of the PDEA and PNP Catbalogan.

In line with of the EDSA People Power Anniversary with the theme "EDSA 2022 Pagtutulungan tungo sa Sama-samang Pagbangon mula sa Pandemya" commemorating the event with the emphasis to preserve our democracy.

This peace rally and democracy reminded the Samarnon, Catbaloganon and the entire community the threat of communism to our democracy.

Today the PNP - Samar, Samarnon and Catbaloganon together with the Youth Organizations and SK, attended the said event.
