IN PHOTOS l 5:30 PM, October 19, 2024, PSSg Jeffrey B Sus, CAD PNCO, under the leadership of PLTCOL DARYLL S CHUA, Chief of Police of Catbalogan City Police Station, conducted a lecture on Drug Awareness and Anti-Terrorism that tackles the implementation of the DILG B.I.D.A. Program (Buhay Ingatan Droga'y Ayawan) and took part as one of the resource speakers for the Canlapwas 2nd Semester of CY 2024 Barangay Assembly Day "Talakayan sa Barangay: Aktibong Diskusyon ng Pamayanan Tungo sa Masigla at Maunlad na Bagong Pilipinas," held at Brgy. Canlapwas covered court, Catbalogan City, Samar.

The participants of this activity were the residents, Barangay health workers, BPATs members, youth sector, with the active support of the Barangay Councilors, SK Chairwoman Devorah Estorninos Escala and Hon. Eduardo Villanueva, Barangay Chairman, Brgy. Canlapws, Catbalogan City.

The objective of the lecture is to enable the youth to strengthen the advocacies relative to anti-illegal drugs and anti-terrorism, more importantly, to empower them not to fall prey to the debilitating lure of these two menaces.

Joint Operatives Arrest Drug Peddler During Anti-Illegal Drug Operation

Catbalogan City, Samar - Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Catbalogan City Police Station under the direct supervision of PLTCOL DARYLL S CHUA, Chief of Police, in coordination with the PDEA, successfully apprehended a drug peddler during a buy-bust operation conducted in Del Rosario Street, Brgy. 04 Poblacion, Catbalogan City on July 19, 2024, at about 8:20 PM.

The suspect, known by the alias Teban, a resident of Brgy. Ipao, this City, was captured in the act of engaging in an illicit transaction, selling what is believed to be the prohibited substance known as "Shabu" to an undercover police operative.

During the operation, authorities confiscated one (1) piece heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.

The suspect is currently in police custody and will be facing appropriate charges.

The Catbalogan City Police Station, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, remains committed in combating the scourge of illegal drugs and upholding the rule of law to ensure the safety and security of our city.

"We urge the public to remain vigilant and cooperative in the fight against illegal drugs and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities. Together, we can make our communities safer and free from the harmful effects of illegal drugs," PLTCOL CHUA stated.

PNP CHECKPOINT

PNP Personnel of this station led by PMAJ NIÑO T CABAÑAS, DCOP, under the leadership of PLTCOL DARYLL S CHUA, CHIEF OF POLICE, established Checkpoint today,
July 02, 2024 along Diversion Road Brgy. Mercedes Catbalogan City, Samar, as proactive crime prevention measures, intensification operations against incidents perpetrated by Motor Riding Suspect/s (MRS), prevent the access of terrorist activity and ensure public safety and security.
These checkpoints are set up to conduct inspections of vehicles and individuals to prevent crime, enforce traffic regulations, and maintain law and order. When approaching a PNP checkpoint, it’s important to cooperate with the authorities and be prepared to present necessary identification and vehicle documents for inspection.

Successful Buy-Bust Operation in Catalogan City Leads to Arrest of High-Value Individual on Illegal Drugs

Catbalogan City, June 27, 2024. In a decisive action against illegal drug activities, a coordinated buy-bust operation resulted in the arrest of a drug dealer, identified as Alias Gabriel in Barangay Mercedes, Catbalogan City.

The operation took place at about 4:19 PM on Thursday that was meticulously planned and executed by the operating unit(s) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). The suspect, alias Gabriel, was apprehended on-site following the transaction, leading to the seizure of a significant amount of shabu. This successful operation underscores the ongoing commitment of law enforcement agencies to combat the proliferation of illegal drugs in our communities.

The arrest of Gabriel is a testament to the dedication and vigilance of our officers working tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of our citizens. Further investigation is underway to determine the full extent of Gabriel's drug-related activities and affiliations.

Clean-up Drive

Catbalogan CPS Drug Bust Operation Leads to Arrest of One Drug Peddler

In a decisive move against illegal drug activities, the Catbalogan City Police Station, under the leadership of PLTCOL DARRYL S CHUA, ACOP, conducted a simultaneous anti-crime law enforcement operation (SACLEO), resulting in the apprehension of an individual involved in the illicit drug trade.

On April 26, 2024, at about 11:07 PM, the Catbalogan CPS-SDET, led by PMAJ NIÑO T CABAÑAS, Intel Officer, executed a meticulously planned operation. Operating in adherence to Supreme Court MC No. 21-06-08-SC, the team utilized PNP-issued body-worn cameras (BWCs) to ensure transparency and accountability.

During the buybust operation, a suspect known as Alias Itas, aged 54, single, and employed as a painter, residing in Brgy. 10, Catbalogan City, was apprehended. Alias Itas was caught in the act of engaging in a flagrant transaction, selling an illegal drug suspected to be "Shabu" to an undercover police poseur-buyer.

The successful operation resulted in the seizure of one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance, suspected to be "Shabu," with undetermined weight and value.

The Catbalogan City Police Station reaffirms its unwavering commitment to combating the proliferation of illegal drugs within our communities. Through coordinated efforts and stringent law enforcement measures, we aim to ensure the safety and well-being of our citizens.
