CSC CONFERS PRIME-HRM BRONZE AWARD TO CATARMAN

The local government unit of Catarman received another national award, this time the PRIME-HRM Bronze Award conferred by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

The awarding that was organized by the CSC Regional Office 8 was held during the 2022 Conversations with Local Leaders in Eastern Visayas “Pasidungog” in Waterfront Hotel, Lahug, Cebu City on Nov. 28.

The PRIME-HRM or Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management is the mechanism devised by the CSC that empowers the government agencies by developing their human resource management competencies, system, and practices toward excellence in Human Resource.

Catarman is the lone LGU in Northern Samar that received the Bronze Award along with the city government of Catbalogan in Western Samar; the municipal government of Bato in Leyte; and the Eastern Samar State University (ESSU).

Municipal Administrator Renato Esidera and HRMDO head Joel Arogante received the glass Bronze Award for Catarman LGU together with Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) head Teodilyn Leano, MPDC Engr. Norman Camposano, Josefina Fuentes from the Economic Enterprise Operations Office (EEOO), Genar Mollejon & Jakes Delorino from the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) and Felix Longcop from the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO).

In 2021 the municipality of Catarman was awarded the PRIME-HRM Certificate of Recognition Maturity Level 2 for meeting the standards on two (2) core systems: the Performance Management; and the Recruitment, Selection and Placement system.

This year the LGU has stepped up and implemented its human resource management in the four (4) core HRM systems: the Recruitment, Selection and Placement; Learning and Development; Performance Management; and Rewards and Recognition thereby achieving the Bronze Award.

As a PRIME-HRM Bronze Awardee the Catarman municipal government will have the “authority to take final actions on appointments issued by the agency” among other incentives.
