πππ¬ π§ππ₯ππ πππππππππ§π¦ | Yesterday, May 28, 2026, marked the final day of SIKLAB: Ibabao Youth Summit 2026βa fitting culmination of three unforgettable days filled with leadership, camaraderie, passion, and empowerment.
The day began with an energizing solidarity dance that set the tone for the much-awaited SIKLAB Race, where all four camps faced a series of thrilling challenges that tested not only speed but also strategy, trust, teamwork, and resilience. Across five stations, campers showcased their unique strengths. From the disorienting βTap of the World Challenge,β where blindfolded participants relied entirely on their leaders for guidance, to the nerve-racking pyramid cup game, where the slightest movement could bring everything crashing down, every challenge pushed the campers beyond their limits. In the end, Camp Sumuroy emerged victorious, clocking the fastest time through effective collaboration and determination.
Following the excitement of the SIKLAB Race came the highly anticipated Camp Warsβheated not only by the scorching temperature but also by the intense, friendly competition among campers. Ten representatives from each camp battled to construct a tower made solely of drinking straws that could stand on its own, while simultaneously defending it from the "attacks" of other campers until time ran out. After an intense showdown, Camp Bingi stood triumphant.
As organizers finalized the scores from the activities and challenges across the three days, the summit moved into its much-awaited awarding ceremony that evening.
Catubig received the Strongest Delegation Award for consistently maintaining the highest number of campers throughout the summit, while Mr. Christian Morecho was honored with the Leadership Excellence Award in recognition of his dedication and exemplary guidance.
Finally, after all points from attendance, competitions, and activities were tallied, Camp Sumuroy emerged as the Overall Champion of SIKLAB: Ibabao Youth Summit 2026, garnering an impressive 14,000 points and proudly taking home the prestigious "Flame of Leadership Award" and a 20,000-peso cash prize.
The final night of IYS ended on a joyful note as campers filled the dance floor, celebrating the friendships and memories shared with fellow youth from different municipalities before returning to their homes today.
Although the summit has formally concluded, it has ignited a lasting flame in the hearts of young Nortehanons, inspiring them to become committed, empowered, and progressive individuals who lead with purpose, work together in unity, and actively help build stronger communities across the province and the nation.
