In celebration of Philippine Arbor Day on June 25, 2026, the Nutrition and Population Office of LGU Castillejos proudly participated in the Tree Growing Activity, demonstrating its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable community development.

Together, we planted not only trees but also hope for a greener, healthier, and more resilient future for generations to come. Every tree planted today is a step toward protecting our environment and strengthening our shared responsibility as stewards of nature.

BPW Retooling Workshop on Population and Development (KaTROPA)
Hosted by the Municipal Population Program and Services Office of Castillejos

The Barangay Population Workers (BPWs) from the District 1 municipalities of Subic to Cabangan gathered for the BPW Retooling Workshop on Population and Development (KaTROPA) led by the PPO/PPW of Zambales. The activity aimed to enhance their knowledge, skills, and commitment in delivering population and development programs within their respective communities.

Through the workshop, participants were equipped with updated information, strategies, and best practices that will enable them to become more effective advocates and implementers of population and development initiatives. The retooling activity also served as a platform for learning, collaboration, and empowerment, strengthening the capacity of BPWs to better serve their constituents and contribute to sustainable community development.

The year 2024 has been a challenging year for Nutrition and Population Program Office but despite of all the challenges and through the unwavering support and consolidated efforts of the Municipal Nutrition Committe,inflecting our mandate as public servants, this years Nutrition's Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol (MELLPI-Pro) result is the contemplation of all the hardworks of the Municipal Nutrition Committee, BNS' and BPWs to properly execute the Municipal and Population programs plans and programs accordingly. As the Municipal Nutrition and Population Program Officer- designate my heartfelt gratitude to our beloved , very supportive,kind and generous Local Chief Executive and Chief of Municipal Nutrition Committe, Hon. JEFFREY D. KHONGHUN, as well as to our beloved Hon. Vice Mayor Hon. Christian T. Esposo , to our Municipal Administrator Sir Gregorio Lappay ,to our Department Heads and stakeholders for their continous commitments, dedication and unwavering support to Nutrition Programs, to uplift the quality of Life, health and nutrition of the people of Castillejos.
WE DID IT—AGAIN!!! The Municipal Nutrition and Population Program Office will continue to live up to our vision and continue commits and ensure the continuity and sustainability of programs towards achieving municipals health and stability.
