September 3, 2026 - The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Cavite, through Negosyo Center Silang, was invited to participate in the โ€œKeeping the Business Alive!โ€ training conducted the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), held at The Park, Silang, Cavite.

The activity gathered beneficiaries of OWWAโ€™s Balik Pinas! Balik Hanapbuhay! (BPBH) Program and Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Pag-unlad ng Samahang OFWs (Tulong PUSO) Program.

Representing DTI Cavite was Negosyo Center Silang Researcher Ms. Dimple Carpena, who discussed the DTI Cavite Programs and Services, providing participants with information on the available government assistance and interventions for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs.

The discussion also covered the Business Registration and the Barangay Micro Business Enterprises (BMBE) program, emphasizing the benefits of business formalization and the assistance available to qualified micro enterprises.

DTI Cavite continues to provide guidance and technical assistance to livelihood applicants, particularly in the preparation and development of business plans, to help them strengthen their enterprises and improve business sustainability.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 19, 2026:

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

DTI Cavite attended the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Cavite 2nd Quarter General Membership Meeting held on August 13, 2026, at the Locatorโ€™s Hall, First Cavite Industrial Estate, Dasmariรฑas City.

DTI Cavite Provincial Director Lilibeth R. Chavez served as the Inspirational Message Speaker during the gathering. In her message, PD Chavez highlighted the vital role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in creating jobs, providing income, promoting innovation, and contributing to the growth of local economies.

Anchored on the theme โ€œMSMEs Rising: Strengthening Today, Building Capability, Expanding Tomorrow,โ€ PD Chavez emphasized the need for MSMEs to continuously build their capabilities, embrace digitalization and innovation, strengthen market access, and promote sustainability and resilience.

PD Chavez reaffirmed DTI Caviteโ€™s commitment to working with PCCI and other stakeholders in fostering a business environment where MSMEs can grow, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
