The Commander of the 602nd Infantry (Liberator) Brigade, 6th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, Brigadier General Ricky P Bunayog PA, was conferred the prestigious PMA Cavalier Award in recognition of his outstanding achievements and distinguished service in the field of Reserve Force Development, earning both national and international distinction and bringing honor and prestige to the Corps of Cavaliers and the Philippine Military Academy.

The award was bestowed by the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association, Inc. during the Annual PMA Alumni Homecoming on 21 February 2026 at the Philippine Military Academy, Fort General Gregorio H. Del Pilar, Baguio City.

The PMA Cavalier Awards recognize outstanding alumni who exemplify exemplary leadership, professionalism, and excellence in their respective fields of endeavor, serving as role models in military service and nation-building.

This remarkable achievement stands as a testament to Brigadier General Bunayog’s principled leadership, unwavering dedication, and steadfast commitment to serving the nation and advancing the mission of the Philippine Army.
