The Hubason River Resort & Adventure Trail sustained significant damages due to the intense and prolonged rainfall brought by Tropical Storm Basyang.

Based on official reports released by PAGASA and covered by GMA News, the volume of rainfall experienced in Northern Mindanao exceeded the 100-year return period, meaning the amount of rain that fell has only a 1-in-100 probability of occurring in any given year. This extreme weather event overwhelmed rivers and drainage systems, resulting in flooding, erosion, and damage to infrastructure.

As reflected in the attached satellite and weather data, the severity of the storm explains the extent of the damages observed within the Hubason River Resort area, including affected trails, facilities, and surrounding landscapes.

📌 ADVISORY:
In light of these conditions, Hubason River Resort & Adventure Trail is temporarily CLOSED to the public to allow for:
• Ongoing clearing operations
• Safety assessments
• Planning and implementation of future restoration works

We ask for the public’s understanding and cooperation as we prioritize safety and work toward a safer, more resilient restoration of Hubason. Further updates will be announced accordingly.
