In a continuing effort to strengthen operational readiness and sustain mission-essential capabilities, the 12th Forward Service Support Unit (12FSSU) formally turned over refurbished and repainted mobility assets to the 10th Field Artillery (Rolling Thunder) Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army.

The restored assets include three (3) M923A1 5-ton Troop Carrier/Cargo Trucks, two (2) KM250 2Β½-ton trucks equipped with Fire Direction Center (FDC) equipment, and one (1) KM450 mobility assetβ€”all of which underwent necessary body restoration and repainting to restore their serviceability and operational utility.

More than the restoration of vehicles, this undertaking represents a significant contribution to the Battalion’s sustained mobility, equipment readiness, and overall capability to respond effectively to operational and mission requirements.

The turnover likewise underscores the importance of effective sustainment support and institutional cooperation in maintaining the reliability and serviceability of critical military assets. The continued support provided by the 12FSSU contributes directly to ensuring that the Rolling Thunder Battalion remains mobile, responsive, and prepared to accomplish its mission.

With strengthened mobility and sustained readiness, the 10th Field Artillery (Rolling Thunder) Battalion continues to move forward with greater capability and resolveβ€”ready to deliver timely and accurate fires in support of the Philippine Army’s mission.

Demonstrating its steadfast commitment to education, community development, and Civil-Military Operations (CMO), the 10th Field Artillery β€œRolling Thunder” Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, successfully conducted an Outreach Program for its adopted school, Mansamad Saliling Elementary School, on 29 July 2026 at Upper Malugasa, Barangay Liliongan, Carmen, Cotabato.

The outreach activity benefited 141 learners from Kindergarten to Grade 6 through the distribution of school bags, school supplies, and food packs to support their educational needs and promote their overall well-being. More than providing essential learning materials, the initiative reaffirmed the Battalion’s commitment to nurturing young minds, encouraging a culture of learning, and strengthening its partnership with the local community.

The success of the outreach program was made possible through the invaluable support of the Battalion’s partner stakeholders: ACDI Kabacan Branch, represented by Ms. Dinah Fe C. Tubod, Roving Branch Head; AFPSLAI Kidapawan Branch, represented by Ms. Janilyn C. Morido, Assistant Branch Head; PAFCIPIC Kabacan Branch, headed by Ms. Gemma M. Delena, Branch Head; and AMWSLAI Cotabato Branch, headed by Ms. Arlene M. Ho, Branch Head. Their generosity and shared commitment to education and community service greatly contributed to the meaningful conduct of the activity.

The 10th Field Artillery β€œRolling Thunder” Battalion was recognized during the Blue Siren Awards 2026, held in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary Celebration of DXVL Kool 94.9 FM on 24 July 2026 at the USM Commercial Building, University of Southern Mindanao (USM), Kabacan, North Cotabato.

Representing the Battalion, LTC MARK C ESPIRITU ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, together with CPT JOHN REY P SAYOCO (ART) PA, Civil-Military Operations (CMO) Officer, attended the event, which honored individuals, government agencies, organizations, and partner institutions for their exemplary commitment to public service, community development, and responsible communication.

During the ceremony, LTC ESPIRITU accepted the Blue Siren Award and Plaque of Recognition on behalf of the 10th Field Artillery β€œRolling Thunder” Battalion, in recognition of the unit’s unwavering commitment to community engagement and its steadfast support for initiatives that promote peace, development, and nation-building.

Personnel of the 10th Field Artillery (Rolling Thunder) Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army participated in a community clean-up drive organized in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of DXVL Kool 94.9 FM on 18 July 2026 along Mantawil Street, Poblacion, Kabacan, Cotabato. The activity was represented by the battalion’s Civil-Military Operations Office led by CPT JOHN REY P SAYOCO (ART) PA.

Conducted in partnership with Barangay Poblacion, Kabalikat Radio Group–Kabacan Chapter, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)–Kabacan, and University of Southern Mindanao Development Communication students, the initiative focused on clearing a clogged drainage canal while promoting environmental stewardship, community cooperation, and public awareness.

The activity underscores the battalion’s continuing commitment to community engagement and environmental responsibility, strengthening civil-military relations while supporting initiatives that contribute to safer, cleaner, and more resilient communities.

The 10th Field Artillery (Rolling Thunder) Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army welcomed participants of the Advance ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT) Class 01-2026 from the 1601st Community Defense Center, 16th Regional Community Defense Group (P), BARMM, RESCOM, PA during an educational visit on 10 July 2026 at Headquarters, 10FAB, Camp Lucero, Brgy. Nasapian, Carmen, Cotabato.

The visiting contingent was received by LTC STEEVE M ESPINOZA (ART) GSC PA, Battalion Executive Officer, together with key unit officers. The activity began with a briefing on the battalion’s mission, organization, capabilities, and role in providing responsive and effective fire support to supported maneuver units.

The cadets also witnessed a static display of the ATMOS 2000 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer, facilitated by 1SP (Always Ready) Battery under the leadership of 1LT ROXANE M VALENCIANO (ART) PA, Battery Commander. The activity provided participants with firsthand exposure to the Philippine Army’s modern artillery system and enhanced their appreciation of field artillery operations.

The visit strengthened the cadets’ understanding of the Artillery Regiment’s vital role in national defense while reinforcing the Philippine Army’s commitment to developing competent, disciplined, and mission-oriented future reserve officers.

The 10th Field Artillery Battalion (Rolling Thunder) officially opened SPORTSFEST 2026 on 06 July 2026 at Headquarters 10FAB, Camp Lucero, Brgy. Nasapian, Carmen, Cotabato, as part of the celebration of its 4th Founding Anniversary.

The opening ceremony featured a parade of participating line batteries followed by fun and competitive games that showcased the battalion’s unity, discipline, teamwork, and fighting spirit. The activity was led by the Battalion Commander, LTC MARK C ESPIRITU ART (GSC) PA.

SPORTSFEST 2026 aims to strengthen camaraderie, promote physical fitness and sportsmanship, and reinforce the solidarity of the Rolling Thunder Battalion as a mission-ready unit committed to serving the Filipino people.
