Information Drive on Katarungang Pambarangay Implementation

An Information Drive on the Implementation of Katarungang Pambarangay was conducted by Lupon Chairperson Grace B. Cabello on March 14, 2026 at the Barangay Covered Court, during the conduct of the Barangay Feeding Program.

The activity aimed to raise awareness among residents about the proper procedures and importance of the Katarungang Pambarangay in promoting peaceful settlement of disputes within the community.

As part of the information campaign, the Lupon Secretary also facilitated the distribution of informational flyers to the participants to further guide and inform them about the barangay justice system.

The OADR will be conducting the Course on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) under the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) Law for the Local Government of the City of Batac, Ilocos Norte from 10-12 February 2026.

This training marks a significant step in furthering ADR adoption at the provincial level. By bringing specialized expertise directly to Batac City, Ilocos Norte, the agency aims to empower local leaders and implementers to resolve disputes at the community level, ensuring that justice is accessible, peaceful, and swift right at every barangay.

The distinguished panel of resource speakers that shall lead this initiative are the following:

• Atty. Rodolfo Ferdinand N. Quicho, Jr. (OADR-Recognized Practitioner)
• Ms. Josephine Khaleen M. Sasuman (Chief, Training and Program Development Division, OADR)
• Atty. Lorna A. Tungpalan-Lugod (OIC Chief, Legal Division, OADR)
• Ms. Criscelle O. Moya-Pobre (Training Specialist IV, Training and Program Development Division, OADR)
• Hon. Atty. Juan Paulo Flojo (Sangguniang Panlungsod Member, Batac City, Ilocos Norte)
• Hon. John Gabrielle Dominique Daguio (Sangguniang Panglungsod Member, Batac City, Ilocos Norte)

Through this collaboration, the OADR and the City of Batac are working together to build a culture of harmony and decongest our courts, one barangay at a time.
