Soaking up knowledge and inspiration at the 2026 National Market Scoping for Supplementary Learning Resources (SLRs) held at the Linden Suites, Pasig City. It's been an incredible opportunity to collaborate with the National Book Development Board (NBDB) to identify high-quality materials that will soon fill our school libraries and library hubs.

The journey continued at the Philippine Book Festival 2026 at the SM Megamall Megatrade Hall. Exploring the "Gubat ng Karunungan" and connecting with local publishers and authors. This experience was filled with fresh insights and new discoveries to further enrich our learners' resources.

A heartfelt thank you to our SDO Carcar City leadership, especially to our Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Cartesa M. Perico, ASDS Dr. Joelyza M. Arcilla and CID Chief Dr. Mary Jane J. Powao for the unwavering support and for making our participation in this national event possible.

Together, we are building a more literate and inspired community!

The Reading Preferences Survey for Grades 1–6 learners have been successfully conducted by the Division Librarian, Mrs. Joan L. Pajarilla, together with the LR Supervisor Charlyn C. Satira.

This initiative seeks to understand students’ reading interests and guide the development of responsive learning resources that nurture a love for reading.

Special thanks to Carcar Central Elementary School Principal, Mrs. Maria Sigrid Pacis, for graciously allowing us to conduct the survey and to the dedicated teachers who assisted and guided us in making this endeavor a success.

Moving forward with a heart full of gratitude and inspiration!

A huge thank you to the Lapu-Lapu City Library Hub of DepEd Lapu-Lapu City Division and the Zapatera Library Hub of DepEd Cebu City Division for the incredibly warm welcome during our recent benchmarking activity! We are deeply grateful to the dedicated Hub and LRMDS personnel (SDO Lapu-Lapu City EPSvr-LRMDS Dr. Joseph Elly Cantutay and Librarian Maria Teresa Amion and SDO Cebu City EPSvr-LRMDS Maam VAnessa Harayo and Librarian Marilou Antonia Ouano) for generously sharing their expertise in library management, daily operations, and innovative best practices.

A special highlight of our visit was the walkthrough of your impressive Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) system, a truly modern approach to making learning resources more accessible. These valuable insights will undoubtedly help us elevate our services for our Carcaranon learners.
