THE DAY OF VALOR (ARAW NG KAGITINGAN 2022)
“Kagitingan ng mga Beterano, Inspirasyon ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino”
When the Philippines was invaded by Japanese forces on April 9, 1942, Filipinos battled
and sacrificed their lives for the heroic defense of Bataan. Also known as Bataan Day, that event marked one of the most grueling events in the Philippines during World War 2: The Bataan Death March. This bravery and valiant defense of our motherland resulted in several memorials around the Philippines, as well as an annual commemoration of those who defended known as "Day of Valor"
The Day of Valor celebrates, with honor and dignity, our soldiers who courageously
defended our country. This day is devoted entirely to commemorating the men and women who have died in combat, but it is also a celebration of love, selflessness, and history for our great nation. On this dignified celebration, we come together as a proud Filipino nation.
